I enjoy buying clothes and really like buying clothes. I am someone to shop only on the clearance racks and only buying shirts under 10 dollars. I know i might sound cheap in a way but i still figure i lok pretty cute anyways. But lately i have been buying to much clothes and dont really have enough room for them all and need to start getting rid of the older looking clothes.
What do you suggest on doing when i want to buy clothes i dont need? I really need to save my money rather then shop for clothes too.

Stay as far away from any place that sells clothes as possible. Whether it be physical stores or Internet websites or really anything like that. The best way to cure a spending habit is not to be near anything. Then again, I have never had the problem with buying too many clothes, as I only have about as much as I need. Perhaps a little less. Of course, there are times where I tend to buy a couple more DVDs then I do need, so I tend to stay away from DVDs. So I think that we have our own weaknesses that we spend too much on and the best thing to do as to steer clear of it.

ME TOO!!!! I am the same exact way. I always shop clearance, deals, and 2nd hand shops (consignment shops and thrift stores) and I manage to get some really awesome clothes that you can'teven tell are 2nd hand...FOR REALLY GOOD DEALS. So, somewhere in my mind, I feel like I justify buying these because they're so cheap - but I have tons and tons of clothes, and like you..No where to put them. I desperately need to downsize BUT I really don't want to get rid of anything... lol...

I like buying clothes as well. I haven't been clothes shopping in forever. I am hoping when I get my income tax that I will go on a shopping spree for me. I always like buying stuff off on clearance as well because you get more for your money. If you need money I would suggest stop buying clothes since you have an abundance. If you have clothes that you don't want anymore I would suggest donating some of your clothes to goodwill or the salvation army.

I guess it's all about control and discipline. I used to buy sooo many clothes too but they would all end up in the closet not worn and I always regret buying them afterwards because it's just then that I realize that I don't really need them. So I made a promise to myself to quit buying clothes that I don't really need. But I don't deprive myself of going to the malls. What I do is that every time I go to the malls, I look at those clothes and control myself of not buying them. It's like a mini training for me, hehehe! It really worked and I'm so happy with myself now that I only have clothes that I need in my closet :)

I went through a phase where I would always buy new clothing when I was feeling bad. It was usually just shirts. Until it came to a point that I had a lot of shirts which mostly I don't really wear.
But I am wired differently. I usually do things repeatedly until I get sick of doing it. After that phase, I don't like buying things for myself anymore.

If it is really hard to resist it, set yourself a small budget, so that you can buy something, but not too much. This way you can make sure you can afford your purchases. Otherwise I honestly recommend staying out of stores and online stores, like someone already mentioned. It is the only thing that really works!

I am just exactly like you. I think it is a good habit to look at the clearances and sales instead of looking at the new arrivals. I agree with you that we buy cheap clothes but still look cute I although shop for cheap clothes, I still make myself look classy and cute.
I shop clothes regularly almost every other week or more... it is just because this is my hobby, I like new clothes, new shoes(I think a lot of you ist just like me). That's why I shop for the cheapies to find good deal. I have tones of old clothes as well, I think there is 30% of clothes thatI have never worn... I have a seperate closet room, my husbnad doen't have a lot of clothes so I'm own 90% of the space haha. I don't feel like donating them though, I give the clothes that I don't wear to my younger sister.
I don't think I can get rid of shopping for clothes and shoes, finding good deals is a very good habit for me already, I don't see I shoudl stopping this habit hehe.
