How about International Entrepreneurs’ Day? Where the cream of the crop of every country gather in terms of business & economics celebrate together? To commemorate those who've left a legacy behind especially in contributing to it's country's economic stability? Not particularly one person but the community / group of people that are righteous stands in business that have laid the foundation for many to build upon.

Hi Bala jee
well u r very right. these are days for people who strictly follow their calender for everything in their lives, so these days atleast provide them a chances to express their emotion associated to these days atleast once a year.
hmm, to add into that DAYS list, you have to check that how many days have been allocated already, if some days are left behind, we can work on them.
cheers

Hello Bal nice to see you as always! Yes I agree there are sooo many days for everything and that is without including birthdays and Anniversaries. I have a good memory for dates and I always celebrate October 8th mainly because that was the day I left my ex ha ha ha! As for a day for the world over hmmmm how about Thankful for being alive day, but that would be everyday I guess LOL. They could always include Brothers Day, Sisters Day, Ex Wife's Day, Sister In Law PMSL.... Then it would really be endless!

I think there shopuld be a day for young children who work as cleaners in restaurants. I do not know if it happens in all countries but in ours I have seen many young boys cleaning up the table . My heart goes out to them because they have been born under circumstances that make them forego their education and do this work ---I feel that they would get measley wages].
THere must be a day for these kids.

My heart goes for the children who are mercilessly put to menial labor.
But Kala aren't these days are for celebrating and glorifying someone or something?
I would welcome something that would eradicate this evil altogether instead of reminding it every year.

Hi Bala!
I am glad to see you on the board after so many days. Hope all is well with you. I came to know that before Valentine's Day on 14th, there was 'Hug Day' on 12th and 'Kiss day' on 13th February, so there is no dearth of 'special days' to cheer up. I think we should have 'World donation day' on which we could donate some of our earnings to really needy people.

I hope there must be a festival for the old people. We have been up against ageing of popular worldwide. The old people have done all their can for society ,Now they are old and infirm, they should win sympathy and respection from whole society. We must do our best to make respecting for the elderly become a common practice.

I think there should be an international gender equality day, to show that women are not below men, and that one gender is just as capable as the other, in everything.

World Peace day would be nice. Make it against all international laws to do anything except be peaceful on that dayh.
In some societies of Native Americans, anywhere from 1 to 4 days a year, they would redistribute food, clothing, etc. on those days so poorer people amoung them would have enough food, clothing, etc. The rich would not become poor, but they would try to see to it that everyone had enough. Some cultures did it by throwing cames that they bet on (letting the poor person win most of the time).

Yeah, but is it really? Only people actually at peace get to celebrate it, the rest are shotting at each other. And it isn't against international law to not be peaceful on that day.
If you don't like that one, redistribute wealth day is a good one.

My daughter suggested kid’s day which got her rather excited until I informed her that I couldn’t actually make it happen ! Personally I would to honour grandparents and have a grandpa and grandma day or maybe just a Senior Citizens day for those who don’t have grandchildren.

I want to remind you another day which is known as the International Mother Language Day which is observed on February 21. It is observed in recognition of the Bengali Language Movement which happened in Bangladesh on February 21,1952 and took a heavy toll of lives of the studentes of Dhaka University.
