I quit smoking yesterday morning! Today is my second day without a cigarette! It is not too bad so far, but still hard! I have tried to quit smoking MANY times in the past and it has always been very hard for me. I am using the patch to help me quit. I wanted to ask if anyone has any suggestions on how to make this easier for me. If you have some imput, please tell me! I can't wait to hear what you have to say!

I congratulate, you have stopped smoking. It is very difficult to quit smoking, but you managed to do so. My husband is also a smoker who successfully quit smoking. My husband has overcome the urge to smoke, by eating candy. So far my husband, was very successful. And already this month, my husband quit smoking. Despite the desire to smoke still often appears, but my husband was able to overcome his desire.

I wish you the best of luck, jterrock.
I quit in December, after two packs a day for almost 15 years, so I know pretty well what you're going through.
I think it's good you started a discussion here about this, it should motivate you to continue, so you can tell your myLot friends a week or two from now that you're still not smoking. I know it helped me - I did a series of articles about my experience, and I was constantly thinking how disappointing it would be to cut the series short because I started again
It also helped me to change my habits and to do new things for a few days. I took a day off from work and went to the zoo, I spent more time with my friends' children, I didn't go out with my regular gang for the first couple of weeks.
It took me about three weeks before I didn't feel the urge to smoke, though I still think about smoking every now and then, but it's not too bad. Hope this helps you, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!
