In my home country they were considering making home abortion available. The pregnant lady would be able to take the abortion pill at home. She would be up to 9 weeks pregnant. In the end they came to the answer no. Sadly the National Health Scheme and private clinics do abortion up to 24 weeks pregnancy in my home country. They were considering making the limit lower, more in line with the rest of Europe. When a country allows abortion they have to make decisions of how far along the pregnancy and for what reasons it is permitted. I am pro-life and wouldn't ever choose to have an abortion.
What do you think about abortion?
Should the abortion pill be given use at home?

I am against abortion. I just think that with pills like those people might get accustom to thinking to doing those things more often.

I agree with you. The fetus is not a "thing" that you can discard as you wish. It already has life. In my opinion, a fetus may be aborted only if there is proof that if carried to full term, it will be terribly retarded and will not be able to take care of him/herself. Then it will be cruel to bring him/her into this world.

You are totally right in saying making these pills available would make some people do this more often.
I found out at 36 weeks that my son has spina bifida and hydrocephalus. I let him be born and said no way when I was offered an abortion. He is now a happy little three year old.

I think that the problem with being able to take the abortion pill at home is that it becomes almost 'normal'... And its not normal, its really traumatic for the woman involved. I think that she needs the support through that difficult time and not be on her own...
I think that abortion is really sad, but sometimes it may be the lesser evil.

Here in our country, there is an issue in passing into law the what is called Reproductive Health Bill. This bill is still subject to wide scrutiny and opposition since our other law-makers, those in church side and other people organizations, find this bill inhuman because portion of the bill states on legalizing abortion. Me too is against it.

i think the issue on rapid population growth is only being capitalized as the main reason for poverty, that is why they want to resort to abortion for rapid population reduction. I believe that the root cause of poverty is not the rapid population growth, it is the greed, the corruption in government and the concentration of wealth to few are the root cause why a country is poor.

I think that abortion is the choice of every woman, but it is an important choice. Before it was authorized in my country, there were many accidents due to clandestine abortions : it was a good thing to authorize abortion, but I am not sure about an abortion pill at home : to trivialize abortion would not be good too. It is a serious decision.
I also believe that 24 weeks is too much, except if the life of the mother is in peril.

It is interesting to hear about when abortions were illegal in your home country. Yes, it wouldn't be right to make an abortion seem easier that doing a home perm on the hair. It is such a shame that my home country still agrees 24 weeks is the limit for abortion.

Abortion is a very difficult decision. It should not be considered lightly. If I had a choice, I would probably forbid it.

There usualy are issues with religious countries... I'd not want to live in such a country, because they tend to be more radical to those that are not of the same religion.

I think you already know from previous discussions that I am not against it and believe it should be an option for women as each is different but, I do agree the limit should no way be increased!

I'm pro-choice. If there is a system that will help mothers raise children financially, then I may be pro-life but if not, then no. I don't agree with irresponsible people either but majority of the women who go through it, wishes there was another way; they don't do it because they want to.

Abortion is an act of killing unwanted life. Abortion is not legal and is banned in many countries. Abortion not matter how big is the fetus, there will always be risk for the pregnant woman, if the fetus are over certain period of months, if abortion still being carry out and there might be serious bleeding during the process and that is so dangerous for her. I totally think that by giving abortion pill at home is something cannot be accepted, when someone need to do abortion, there should be at least a doctor to guide the procedure just in case there are emergency cases where excessive bleeding occur. So, to do abortion at home is something not to encourage. It is too dangerous for her.
