hello friends, todays cellphone is becoming the common need for everyone. Everyone uses his cellphone manytimes in oneday. Even the social relations are also getting bind with them. Somebodys identity is brought by his cellphone number nowadays. if you got a new friend you would immediately ask his contact number that is his cell number. even social networking sites are also asking cellnumber for identity ? that means a person without cellphone cannot get verified in those sites ? all these things making me after somedays cellphone is going to be our basic need . what do you say?

That is what I was going to say, I have never had one and I am living just fine..Now without a computer and internet, that is a different story... Actually it would be bad, since I take classes online at home, without my computer and internet, I couldn't get my degree..

That is really true. Even if I have one, but it will be no problem if I don't have one. We will get adjusted and will found it is okay to live without cellphones.

Cellphone nowadays can be considered necessity in this fast phase life. But I do not believe that one's identity should not be brought by the model or type of ones cellphone.

If you had asked this question to me 5 years ago, my answer would have been yes. But these days it is really tough to get away from the cellphone. The reason is we all are used to cellphones. They have become the our essential need of our life. In other words, Everyone can live without his or her spouse but not cellphones. If you did not realize this thing, don't use your cellphone for somedays. You will realize it soon.

I often go without using it for days. I accidentally left it switched off for over a week. and I didn't even realise. so no, I didn't realise that it was necessary. and I don't have a landline either. the only reason I found out it was switched off was when my friend sent me a message on facebook saying she'd tried to phone me but couldn't get through. this was after over a week.

Each and every one now a days has a cellphone, many people have more than one cellphone. But cellphones has all our needs just in one hand, which is very simple to use which is becoming a very basic. Cellphone also makes relationship stronger through continuous contact either through msg or call..

Some times, relationships are broken because of mobile phones in my opinion. True though that most have two mobile phones at hand. It might make life simpler, but is it truly a need or just a mere want?

It definitely is a basic need of everyone. In some homes there are no landline phones present as they use their cellphones instead.

I normally don't use cell phone since I don't really call many people. If I run a business where I would need to be connected with potential customers/clients and associates, cellphone can be useful. Nowadays, some people are using cell phone excessively, including talking while driving. In my opinion, cell phone is good for emergency uses/contact, for business purposes, and networking. You can talk with your friends using a regular phone for as long as you want. Also, I found some people who use cellphone sometimes don't think or care about his/her surroundings, like in a restaurant, a bus, and other public places.

With or without cellphone is fine with me. I have answer the similar discussion to this and I said it is okay to live without cellphone but many opposed me that we can't live without cellphone. Yes we are really depend on it nowadays but we did live without them before so we can live without them too now.

First of all, I would like to highlight that too frequent use of the cellphone can have a higher risk to get tumor in our brains. Before the availability of the cellphone in the market, we could live and work as usual. Without the cellphone, we still can live and work as usual. Maybe, without the cell phone, our life can be better. We can have a very quiet off days especially during the weekends without hearing the ringing tones from the cellphone. Less exposure to the radiation too.

Yes, we can live without the cell-phone. If I wanted to join one of those sites, I would just give it my regular phone-number. (Maybe that's what they mean, as cell-phones are fast becoming 'people's regular-phones.) Of course, there's also the fact that cell-phones are swiftly becoming so-much-more-than-phones; and young-people today are OWNED by the communication-companies and so start networks based on 'the flashy tricks those "phones" can do.'

No, when I sometimes forgot my cp at home, I feel so incomplete. I feel worried because might have sent a message already or called and have missed. Maybe it's an emergency. Despite the facts laid down in the discussion which are all correct, it's already a necessity. Kids nowadays already have it not only as a status symbol, but also to be used for it's basic purpose, communication. I'll just go back to the basics. Without it, this whole word can't be more closer.

It would be hard to live without cell phones only because I use my cell phone as a watch. I am always looking at it to see what time it is and at work I use it to time my breaks and lunches. It is also helpful to me because my wife can text me if there is a problem at home or she just wants to talk to me because we are not supposed to get calls at work. I have been without my cellphone before and it was not easy.

Of course, and we should even without a cellphone we must live otherwise. Definitely there are more important reasons for us to live more than cellphones. Though cellphones are truly necessary nowadays, but there are still other means of communication we can use, the only problem probably is its speed, which might be a little slower than cellphones can provide.

Good day to you Tsurendra, Before, it is not a big deal if you dont have a telephone though it is indeed comfortable if you have and own a telephone line unit at home. But, now a days, its not, and there are times, though you already have a telephone unit line at home, you will still look and own a cellphone / mobile phones. Thus, these gadgets are becoming a part of our necessity. As these things are now considered necessary in our day to day living. Generally, mobile phones / cellphones form part in the status quo or the identity of the person using it. Based on what others see from you, if they saw a blackberry or an iphone, they usually think that you are that rich and you are financially capable and stable. However, this is not applicable to some, hence, it sometimes depends if the price of the electronic gadget seems to low, for this reason, almost everybody can afford to buy a good mobile phones / cellphones. Since these gadgets form part of our necessity, eventually, this will be a part of our basic needs, hence, these gadgets will also be used not only by adults but also those kids who are in their preparatory grade.

True that cellphones or mobile phones are now a daily want for almost everyone. In this time, most people in fact want smartphones instead of those normal mobile phones. In my opinion, mobile phones aren't really a big need, but it makes life simpler in many ways. But, Can we live without it? Yes would could. Why? Most people were actually born before mobile phones wasn't a daily commodity.

I would say yes, but it would make life more difficult. I mean the answer obviously to your question has to be yes as we have done it for many years. We have coped without having a cell phone. However, now that we do have them they are so ideal. It is needed for if you breakdown in your car, if y6our running late and no pay phone around then easy for you to call home. Tha main thing is security and emergency, if there was an accident or if you have been attacked or seen someone else attacked then a cell phone is a must as every second counts, rather than wasting ages of time looking for a public phone. If people were to say they could get by without a cell phone then i would find this a little strange. The cell phone has so many uses and makes our lives a lot easier.
