have you tried to ride to any types of rides on the carnivals? i myself do experienced for the second time around, but on the first time, i wasnt able to feel the moment, because i just rode one ride the sea dragon it was fantastic experience because its like the end of the world hahaha. but the other day, my co workers decided to have a team bonding on the carnival. some are excited some are not knowing that we have a lot of fears. so the time we get in, we pay the entrance and were thinking which ride were going to go first. out team lead decided to go first on the SEA DRAGON, so all says NO! but still our team lead kept on pushing us to ride. so, i myself says i go, and so other four follows. the time were about to move, my other friend shouted NO! i will not, i cant do this, stop. hahaahaha! good thing its only about to start, so the operator stopped. after on the sea dragon, we tried the hurri cane, the octopus, and i forgot the others. LOL... it was so fun! its a great experienced for me. because i am 32 years old. hahahaha!

Hi dear Carrine! Now I am 50 and so I don't take interest in those rides in the carnival anymore as they can harm my health at this age! But then let me tell you as a Kid and as a youth practically I have tried almost every sort of rides that are available in any normal carnivals. We have some amusement parks in India which are similar to Disneyland of US, but they are bit smaller in size. Here I Have tried almost all the rides. I used to try these rides to show my friends and relatives that I am a bold and courageous person and don't far of these rides. I also wanted to encourage my son who was a kid then to ride these rides! Giant Wheel,My fair Lady, roller Coasters, Columbus, Tora Tora, Merry go round etc are few names I remember! The best ride I liked was one where several people are taken up to the height of about 100 feet or so and from there they are allowed to fall to ground almost at the speed of gravity and the landing is so smooth and buffered that you won't feel slightest jerk. But at the time when we are coming down with the speed of gravity , we have altogether different experience which is hard to describe in words! One must experience it to know about it! It is terrific! Thanks friend for the discussion!

The bravest I get is the ferris Wheel..I am so scared of all those other roller-coaster type rides, I think I like to play it safe and not depend on what could end up a disaster.

i so love carnival! I want rides in the EK like jam log, space shuttle, EKstreme, flying fiesta, anchors away. Those rides that would make my knees weak.. thrilling rides! oh my favorite also ferris wheel!! Though you wont be able to ride them all in a day. almost 2 hrs ride going to EK then a whole lot of people are falling in line specially space shuttle, anchors away and ferris wheel. each ride must take an hour or 2 of waiting. =)

Yes i have experienced it and I am addicted to it! I love heights so much. I love the thrill of being turned around. My husband was very amused when he saw me laughing while I am on the giant roller coaster. He can't even ride on those coasters. I hope I could go again to those places.

I am 22 years old now and it was just about a few weeks ago since my first carnival ride. I think that it would be my last. I just cant get something over my head every time I see those rides. I would want to experience the fun of it of course but I have always been worried about the safety of it. I kept on telling my friends that I would ride it again if I get my health and burial insurances. They kept laughing after I said that but I was serious. It is scary. I was sick to my stomach after riding one. And I think that it was not about the ride, it was about the fear of something could go wrong that was hard to handle.

Yeah. It was an experience. A really terrifying experience. Maybe for the future thrills that I wanted to face, carnivals will not be the place. I think I would go for a race track. I wanted to drive as fast as I can.

U are still young! I'm only a couple of years behind u, and shall catch up with u very soon!! haha =D I like such rides too, but they are far too expensive over here.. haha =D Other than that, the wait and queue for those rides are so long, when it takes less than 5 minutes for the whole ride to end.. lol =D I would cherish the chance to go for such rides again because it's fun, it's a great experience for me, because i'm 28 years old. hahaha!

I don't particularly like rides. Specially the ones in 'carnivals'. Last year, when we finally had a chance to go to Southern California, I had the chance to take on some rides. It was scary, but I was surprised that it was particularly fun. The most dizzying was 'The Mummy' at Universal Studios. Yes it was fun, as I am not a kid anymore too.

yes i do like the rides in carnival when i was little younger.Nowsday i do suffer slight headache , stomachache and backbone ache if i ride these rides too much.THe carnimal here also have various rides. There are indoor and out door rides types. The octopus are simpler , they just go aroudn up and down and spin aroud faster and faster sometime in a very steep angle also like 45 degree.Roller coster are scary for me especially they are doing the upside down screwdriver ride.

I have tried octopus once, and I say that it would be my first and last. :D That was so horrifying for me. I'm laughing at myself now because I remember that experience once again. I thought that time that it's gonna be the end for me. That's the weirdest thing that I've ever felt. Others say that it's really fun and I envy all of you who is enjoying having rides because what I can do now is just watch. I like to and I've tried it but it makes me feel so sick. I don't know why and there's not much I can do about it. Sigh!

I can ride anything at the carnival that doesn't spin! If I get on the Scrambler or anything like that, I will lose my lunch! It's actually very scientifically interesting. Children enjoy spinning rides, but as you grow older, your tolerance for them often decreases. It's all because of the vestibular system in our inner ear that helps us balance. A child's immature vestibular system likes spinning and an adult's does not. But I like roller coasters.
