My husband and are have been planning to go on a vacation even before we got married. It has been three years already and we haven't been on a trip. I'm not complaining because the reasons for the delay were two wonderful daughters.
Finally, we'll have our chance this feb 25-27. We're going to the City of Pines, Baguio City, the summer capital of the Philippines. Although it's not yet summer, Baguio will be having their annual Flower Festival this February. We can't wait to watch the flower parade on the 26th and 27th.
It will be an "US" time for us, like a three-day date or a second honeymoon. We hope to have a great time and collect sweet memories. Hopefully when the kids are old enough and can handle long trips, we can go to Baguio as a family.

Planning a perfect vacation could really take a long time. It's easy to plan an outing but a great vacation takes time. You need to save up for the money, plan on how long you'll be staying, etc.. It's great that you're finally pulling this off. Nice job.

That's great! Those times are really special. We haven't had time to take a vacation for the last 2 years and it is much needed at this point. There is nothing better than escaping the day to day grind and enjoying some relaxing time together. Hope you have a great time on your trip.

It is a shame that you haven't been on vacation for three years. I hope that you will have a wonderful time in Baguio City at the Flower Festival. It is going to be a pretty and colorful event. You will be able to collect special memories and maybe take some photos.
I am very keen on traveling and these days I travel with my disabled toddler son and baby daughter. We have recently been on a trip to Colombia. I went to Cartagena De Indias and Santa Marta. Last year we traveled to Canada and it was a special trip for us because of the events. We had my daughter's first birthday in Victoria and my birthday in Vancouver. In addition we also had Canada Day.

Looks like another child is in the making . Me and my family usually go on vacation every summer, but as the kids are getting bigger, it's more becoming a hassle to travel, not to mention the airfare. Baguio is not that far so I'm sure travelling there won't be any problem. Enjoy and have a good time!

That is so wonderful! My first ever honeymoon was done 10 years after our marriage.I got pregnant early and in a succession so we had ourselves a hand full for a long time. Finances were also stretched because of our two wonderful sons so it all had to wait. But on our tenth wedding anniversary we decided that instead of hosting a huge party we would have our long over due honeymoon and we decided to go to Siargao island. It was so beautiful and it felt like we never aged and it was just like the fist few years of our relationship. A good "Us" time is really essential for a relationship, it makes you rethink all your plans and put them back into perspective. It also allows you to reconnect with your partner and remind you why you fell in love in the first place. This summer we will go to Singapore as a family and it will be our first family out of town and we are all excited for it since the kids are older and they can appreciate the pleasures of travel more.I hope you have a Wonderful time in Baguio and please discuss it once you get home and give us some tips on where to stay and what to do because we might head there next too!
