Sell your songs or let artists sing them and get royalties?

I have recently composed a number of songs and people have told me that they are amazing. Not confident that I am a great singer, I'd want other people to sing them for me. I was considering the fact of selling my compositions, although I have no idea how and where. I also considered looking for some artist to sing the songs so I could get royalties. They say it's bigger money in doing such. Anyhow, I am not after earning big. I'm contented if someone would be interested to use my composition. Either way, it's gonna get me something good. Any suggestions? Thoughts, maybe?

I have a suggestion, Make a myspace music account and upload your songs there, make a youtube account and upload a video of you singing your song then sell them to itunes, It works for me. That thing is its hard to enter recording companies and trying to be famous by a company will make kill your artistic freedom, They will just make you compose lady gaga type of songs.

I already uploaded some videos of me singing the songs. They were not exactly great but it wasn't out of tune, though. It was a capella, too. Hopefully, someone would like it so I could actually sell it.

How about trying to have a band? so they will play or sing for you. Selling songs to record companies is hard now because they will give you guidelines in what you can sell.

I can try but I am not so sure about that. People are busy. I guess I am the only one who isn't. Selling to companies will be difficult, that's for sure. They have the luxury of artists.

If you have pure instrumental tracks that do not include lyrics, you can try to sell them on any of a number of websites where music producers sell beats. A few of these sites are www.beats4tracks.com , www.hiphopinstrumental.net and www.mybeatshop.com . Those are more geared towards hip-hop, etc. You create a profile for yourself as a producer and upload your (instrumental) beats. Another website, if you want to try to sell your songs is, www.taxi.com . It is not free (in fact the annual fee is a little pricy) but in exchange you can submit your music for consideration to some of the top TV networks and record companies, as this is where many of them list their musical needs. Good luck.

I'll try out the sites you told. Since my compositions are of various genres, I have some songs that are geared to hip-hop, too. As for taxi.com, I'll have to go check it out first. If it's a bit pricy, I'll have to consider my financial situation. Thank you for the links!

Sometime u partnership with people tat sing your songs and distribute them gots its advantage, because they will promote and package your songs and u get paid royalities. Having famous people sing your songs is greats.Sometime and often people wrote beautiful songs lyrics but they voice not good hence they need singers to bring out the nice lyrics.Initially your can try putting it online like in Apple store where people can buy them.Or free in youtube.

I'm sorry if I can't be of any help, but I am actually in the same position as you. I have a couple of not-so-bad songs and since I am already a mom and I think most likely I wouldnt be able to accomplish my dream of becoming a band singer, I was actually thinking of the same thing. I hope someone will be able to reply here on how things are done and to whom can these songs be offered/sold. Good luck!

Since it is a age new latest and modern songs , there is competation between new and old singers that who can perform very good and fantastic as it possible they can. Also there is many bands are came from different places which also defines their background which displays their type and tradition of bands.
