Hi Friends! If you observe the World Cup Finals since 1975 the first time it was conducted to 2007, some interesting stats can be found. Total World Cups 9 (From 1975 to 2007) Most number of Finals reached by a Team: Australia 6 (Four times Champion!) West Indies 3 (Two times Champion) England 3 (Lost all the time) India 2 (Once Champion) Pakistan 2 (Once Champion) Sri Lanka 2 (Once Champion) Since 1992 at least one team in the Fianl is always an Asian Team that is Indian subcontinent! And out of 9 world cups 6 times an Asian country has reached the Final. 1992 Pakistan 1996 Sri Lanka 1999 Pakistan 2003 India 2007 Sri Lanka Since 1996 Australia has reached Finals continuously. Interestingly, in the last three world cup Finals, Australia has defeated Three top Asian countries to become Champion! And another Interesting point is the teams which have reached Fianls, have done so more than once! Only England is the team which didn't win the World Cup even after reaching final thrice! So this time also will there be an Asian team in the finals? Will Australia reach final? Will there be a new team in the final which has not reached final so far? Or will there be two new teams?
