What do you think causes Autism?

I think that autism can be both a mental and physical problem. Down syndrome can be diagnosed at birth. However autism is not known at birth and other a period of time the parents will notice there is something different about his or her child. So typically the parents would recognize there is autism after meeting with professional. He or she might have looked for information about autism on the Internet. My disabled son has got spina bifida and hydrocephalus. He attends a playgroup for children with additional needs. One of the children there has severe autism and his mom believes he was fine until he had the mumps, measles and rebela vaccination. She says that some children react against this and many children don't. Another thing that can be diagnosed after birth, like at around age seven, would be dyslexia. Generally I know some disabilities are hereditary. Some disabilities can be there are birth not but not visible until later in childhood. Sometimes something goes wrong in pregnancy or at the birth and makes the child disabled. I am not sure what causes autism but I happily listen to others ideas.

This is so wide spread in our country that I have to think it is enviromental, for year we have poisoned our air, water and ground. All this has got to have some influence on the animals that are constantly exposed to these.

For what I have read, Autism is a mental condition that effects humans and detected early or later in one's life. It's a kind of anti-social syndrome,where the affected being is having a world of his own, but most victims have special talents that's why they're called "special ".
