Eroding the prestige of the Monarchy

Prince William's decision to take a middle class woman as his future wife and to conduct his wedding in a commoner-like way finally tearing the last strand of prestige of the monarchy. His purpose is to lower the barrier that divide between commoners. The Prince is so overtly conscious to please the British public just to ensure the continuity of the dynasty his ancestors built in the quicksand of illusion. But his purpose to go with the flow of times and "changing" of how the royalty should be treated did not please the conservative royalists who refer his fiancee as nothing but another addition of long line of commoners who caused some disasters and scandals of the British establishment. For the next years, I doubt if people will still be fascinated with the next generation of British royals, their breed are not totally "royalty/nobility" anymore because the pedigree is mixed with middle class no difference from the rest of us. The main reason why people are fascinated with royals is because the mystery has not yet revealed but when commoners are started joining their exalted circle, the luster and charm thoroughly eroded and lost.

To be frank, I don't give two hoods about it? Haha!~What's so fascinating & intriguing? All man are made equal & love has no barriers, well at least it's not "inSeCt" or anything of that sort, haha!~Sorry, had to spell it that way else it would be "matured" content, haha!~

You know, I'm not sure that I agree with you on this one. It is much better, in my opinion to marry someone that is outside of royalty because it ensures that the lineage will be healthier than it could have been otherwise. In addition to that, I think that his getting married to a middle class person is a great thing and adds more intrigue because there is more of a love story there than what people could view as a sort of arranged type of marriage.

You mean he should marry his cousin like most royalties do. I think he is just saving his family's genetic pool because most European monarchs he can marry are cousins of him. I dont know if you are ware of this but 2 of princes of Denmark have a Chinese blood and the Danish public dont mind. I think most European Royals now marry commoners to avoid being inbred.
