Im sure everyone who plays poker has them, but does it get to your nerves? How do you deal with them.
Sure i try to calm down and tell myself its part of the game but sometimes its very hard cause your are 100% sure you have the best possible hand, and then the other player comes out with an unthinkable card that throws your game to the ground.

I usually take a deep breath and try to hold my composure like I was really sitting at their table. In fact I have had to do that at live tables. I have also watched other people have to do that while playing me.
I guess the best thing to know when playing poker is that, that chance is always there. If you don't have the Top royal flush against another royal flush then your beat.
It is a very funny game like that. I have had to fold more than half my stack because the other player had the ability to take me out without blinking. I just try to remember "A CHIP AND A CHAIR". If you have any chips at all then you have a chance of rebuilding your stack. If you lose all your stack, your out with no chance at all.
I have played tables were one guy would take me to the smallest stack ever and then hours later I would beat the last guy standing. Patience is an absolute requirement to play tourney's. i tell myself before I start the game that I am going to have to sit for hours if I want any results.

Ya, man not to mention if you can hold that immediate impact you can focus on the next hand better. Thats why they say tilt, because once your on tilt your not playing like you normally would.
To combat tilt you must hold composure and forget the blow.. as it were.

All the poker player must have had bad beats. When I have bad beat, of course I am upset but what can I do with it? Just buy back in and work on it again...
I remember one time I was playing $1/$2 no limit, one of the guys on the table was a complete donkey, he was running real hot, he raises preflop every single hand and he caught them all on the flop. I was dealt 9s one hand, he raised to $10, I re-raised him to $35, figured he had a junk hand, he called of course. The flop was 9 5 5, he checked, I bet. The turn was a nothing card so he checked, I bet again. 5 came on the river, he bet little more than 1/3 of the pot... I was like you caught the 5, didn't you? I made the call... and sure enough he showed 5 10 off... unbelievable...
So when I have bad beats, I would relax and sit out for a while, walk around the store in the casino and come back in a while.
