You can actually have referrals. You have your own ref link that you can use. Adf.ly is good for those who have websites or blogs where they can mask the links (that is if your site has a lot of visitors). For others who don't have a website/blog, well, your best option is to post your link to forums, twitter, facebook and other social media sites.

I'm using it. I put the links on forums signatures and YouTube videos. I ghaven't hit any major traffic sources as well ATM, have earned only $0.8 with it in approx. 3 month period...
