"Should I give up, or should I continue chasing pavements...even it it leads to nowhere?"
I am getting older and older everyday.
At times I feel like I havent achieved anything in my life.
I would usually compare myself to some of my classmates back in highschool or in college.
Yes, I do have self pity. I envy others.
I would think, Oh look at her, she is successful with her work or love life etc.
But one day, I saw one of my classmate in highschool. He's not able to finish college and as of now working in a local department store.
I came to realise that I am still lucky.
Some maybe luckier than me but some will also think that I'm luckier than them.
I also came across this question,
How many road must a man travel before he will be called a man?

am i satisfied with my life? i can better say that i am contented with it. happy i can say.=) i always try to look at the good side of every situation. and i do this every moment of my life. its not easy but its all worth doing it. every morning, i thank God for a good night sleep, i thank Him for my room, for my bed, for my pillow, and for giving me someone to hug (my husband). i also thank God for a nice morning and another day to make a difference, for another opportunity to be a better person, for another chances to learn for my mistakes and many more. Then, i look at the mirror and put a big smile on my face and declare that "today will be a great day", "today i am happy" and say them to myself all over again till i get it right.=)

I am not satisfied with my present situation. I must admit that I have made many mistakes in life and that is sometimes responsible for my current difficulties. but again I am just a human and not a robot. I can still correct some of these mistakes and move on. I will still thank God for still keeping me alive. I still have the feeling that I will still achieve success as the days goes by.

Hey angeljhing89,
There is an incredible amount of psychology involved in this.
Never give up. Continue to work hard in your life, and you will be successful. All hard work, to some degree, will pay of.
You may not be the best person in the world, with the best life and everything set out for you. Nobody is perfect.
However, think about where your education has taken you.
Haven't you met new friends?
Haven't you had new experiences with different things, such as looking at life with different aspects?
There may be no road, or infinitely many roads you must travel before you can e called a man. The shortness of the road has an infinite amount of factors, one of them being the decisions you make in life. The more and better decisions you make, the better off you will be, the shorter the road will be, and the less time it will take to arrive to your destination.
However, don't forget to enjoy life, as everyone has a limited amount of it.

Am I satisfied with my life?
For now, I would say not yet because I feel like I still have a lot of things to do with my life. I'm still young and there are still tons of things that I want to do. Sometimes, I feel the same way as you do, angeljhing89. I envy people for what they have achieved that I haven't. But then again, when I come to think of it, there are still others out there who are worse than I am and I also came to realize that there is more to my life than just pitying myself. I think it's just a matter of going for something that you want. "If you want something, go get it. Period," as Will Smith's character said in the movie The Pursuit of Happyness.
How many roads must a man travel before he can be called a man?
I think that the number of roads traveled by a man is not necessarily a measure of his being a man. Sometimes, the roads we've taken in our lives are only a part of what defines us. I believe that what makes one worthy to be called a man is his legacy and nothing else. Let's just say you've gone through a hundred roads in your lifetime but didn't find yourself anywhere in those roads. Do you think you're worthy to be called a man when you've gone through a lot but didn't learn or establish anything for yourself and for others? I don't think so. I believe that before anyone can be worthy of being called a man, he must first be able to live a life of fulfillment for himself and for others regardless of the roads he has gone through.

Love that Adele song. But it's a sad one. Am I satisfied? Well, there are many blessings in my life. But I've made many terrible mistakes and errors, some of them totally avoidable; and am not where I should be, professionally and in other ways. By day, that's usually OK, because I'm still young and fit enough to work hard at putting things right as I see them; but in the still of the night when I'm alone with my thoughts, I can get very sad. But next day, I'm back...trying to put things right again.

Finding satisfaction in your life is possible. Still, it seems that the more you pursue after satisfaction, the more elusive it becomes. The reason for this is because the things that people pursue after in their search for satisfaction is not where they will find satisfaction at all. Satisfaction in life is not found in money or material assets. Although this, there are lots of who believe they will find satisfaction if they have a enormous bank account, buy the perfect home, perfect car or surround themselves with the most beautiful things or the latest technological gadgets. Being content with your life does not mean you stop motivated for more. It means that you struggle for more with the knowledge that you will be content despite of the outcome. You remain stable throughout whatever storm comes into your life.

Yes, my friend,
I am fully, strongly and confidently satisfying with my life style.
I am living in the way of courage.
I can tell and do as per my wish.
Because i born to express not to impress.
Every day is an important day in our life, problems are playing with our valuable thoughts, we just neglect those problems but not the goals.
Have a niceday,
god bless you and your family,
special prayers from my side.

I usually feel the way you feel specially when I'm logged in to Facebook and see my classmates' successful lives. But then I realized not all can succeed at a time, s0metimes one at a time only. So I'll just wait for that time. By now, I'll do what I can to make that happen..

To be honest, I'm not really satisfied at the moment. But I realize it could be much worse than that, and I try to be optimistic. I know I still have the resources to make things better, and as long as I'm healthy and I have a roof over my head, there's really no reason to complain.

Truthfully, at this point in my life, i'm definitely NOT happy with my life. I know it's up to me to change things too, which is what i'm trying to work on. I do deal with emotional issues with depression and anxiety, so that is something that i know holds me back at times, but i know i can work through them. I may not be happy with my life, but i know too, that i should look at it from the point of, things could be a lot worse.

ya very true, everyone has his own story and every has lot of reason to laugh and to cry.in the same way life never gonna change the way you like so it is upto you to live life with satisfaction or with unsatisfied men.
sometimes a beggaer can live happy life then a millionare.coz bagger is satisfied with his life he doesnt have any tention in life whereas a millionare has lot of tention and thats why a begger is more happier then a millionare.
hope you people got it.
so always be happy with wat u have and see how life change.

I'm new here but I wanted to add to this. I really feel the same way. I think of how long i have been out of high school and how little I have accomplished. I run into classmates who seem to be so successful and happy. Next month I will be 30 and I realize that my accomplishments are limited to one divorce, one child and one published book. I thought I would have done so much more. By now, I thought I would have built my writing career. I've learned that I can't compare myself to others, because I am only seeing their life with my eyes, not how they are behind closed doors. I've learned to accept what I am and work towards achieving whats really important to me.
