What can I do to get referrals in PTC sites?

I created a list with the PTC sites that I would want referrals for and I am trying to advertise it, but I really don't have much success with that... Are there any means of advertising that you have been successful with? Could you maybe give me a few pointers?

Make sure to attach your referral links everywhere you have the opportunity to do so. I have mine attached as a signature on my email and in forums. Also, I have a blog and have found that it is where a lot of my referrals come from. People like to see the proof that someone is actually being paid by these type of sites. Take pictures to show your proof and write about the website. Good luck!
