Wow.. nice information.. I know in XP but in Vista or 7 I haven't used this feature anytime.. I need to addition one thing.. Press shift for 6-7 times from keyboard it will prompt a popup alert. go to setting and from mouse tab use numpad as mouse.. it was shortcut I was using in XP.. I don't know it works in higher version..

When my mouse is not working, I will be using the tab button or I have to go so far just for a mouse.

I've heard that before but never tried using it. What I only know is just the simple command. I never gone far in using the keyboard as my cursor. I will check the link you gave us and maybe I will also try this one. This will be a great educational tips for all of us here. At least temporarily we will know what to do if we dont have any mouse at hand.

That is also what is good about that, because there is no need for you to rush in buying a new mouse because you know how to do the command to make the cursor move. At least temporarily.

I already knew the MouseKeys feature of Windows many years ago, it was in fact introduces in Windows 95. I used it a few times and all I have to say is that it's ugly, but can be a lifesaver if there is no mouse around.
It's too slow and tedious to do most things that you do instantly with a real mouse, and it takes time to get used to the key setup of the numeric pad. I've used it to replace my wireless mouse, when it runs out of batteries and there is no replacement near, so as a workaround I turn on the MouseKeys and start seeking for batteries for my mouse. Lucky, I'm now used to always have a replacement set handy.

Hi Akp
So finally you done away with the desktop.
Yes, the Mouse movability via the arrow keys is something good and has been available since long on windows. But I find it quite tedious especially when I play Solitaire or the MineSweeper games on the Windows...
But still it is quite a handy tool.

Nice tips! I do hope you get your cursor issue resolved soon as it has to be a bit time consuming.
But as usual, you find a great work around. I saved that in case this happens to me, as I remember my mouse not working a few months ago, and since it was on warranty I had to use the tough pad which I do not enjoy at all, and had to do so for a few weeks as the warranty was a mail situation, and I had several problems with receiving the package, so it was delayed for a while.
This will be helpful.

Great sharing.
It is totally new to me.
All the while I just know by moving the cursor or the touch pad to move the cursor around.
Whenever there was a faulty of my mouse or the touch pad, I should just upset and rushed to replace a new mouse or to fix the touch pad.
Now, I should have another alternative to resolve this problem.
