What's the best part of being a student?

Being a student has lots of adventure. From cramming for quizzes, "cheating" during exams, cutting classes, friends night out, group discussions/projects and a lot more. My best part? It's when I get my monthly allowance. Because it's just now that I'm working when I get to realize how hard it is to earn money.

hmm being a student there are many good parts but my best part is being able to be with my friends the whole day. Now I am in different place and it's been 2years since i've seen them. I miss them a lot.

The best part of being student is being with your best friend and playing with them, teasing teachers and also cutting classes (well don't get any wrong idea, I only did it 1 or 2 time but it was good feeling), help friends in there problems, getting punishment from teacher and the good part is when you get out of school the real fun begin.................oh I miss those days........so could you tell me how many times did you cut classes..........?

I actually didn't cut any of my classes. But I have this subject at 7-8 pm, me and my friends were drunk. We had a recitation I was called (well I was tipsy) and couldn't answer so I have to stand up until I answer the next question. My friends were kinda worried but laughing. LOL.. That was fun! I also miss it..

Yeah, people is so.Student age is fine, but we often do not attach importance to study, the time and effort are wasted away. When understand reason, and often late already.

That was the sad part for some. They enjoyed having parties and not study well. So it turns out that after they graduate, they are no good jobs available for them.

The best part of being a student is having a care free life. You do not need to think of how to clean the house, what food to cook, do your laundry. All you have to do is to get passing grades.

But when I was high school, I used to clean our house, do the dishes and ran errands before doing my homework. That was fun though. I also experienced going to market before going to school. But my college life was different because I studied at a far place away from our home. So, I'm all alone and got myself a freedom.

I think the best part of a student life is the opportunity to interact with fellow student from other social background. You learn from your classmates and your classmate learn from you. You sing, dance, hike, swim, and do a lot of things with your friends. You even share your academic challenge together. The friendship you build with your classmates sometimes translate into the bigger society. By this I mean, you could even turn to your friends much later in life to get some assistance such as financial assistance, employement,or even get married to your friends

Well said naija! There are lots of good things to remember after studies. Like now, I miss my friends and classmates before. I miss those times we're having group projects and of course, the girl's night outs.

The best part for me is probably the independence. Though that's partially the worst part also. I can do what I want, when I want to do it. And all the while I'm learning to manage my time, money, and relationships. There really aren't any solid commitments anymore, so everything is up to you. I love learning and being able to find opportunities for myself and better myself. I didn't really feel like I could do that at home... there was always someone watching you and looking over your shoulder. I love having responsibility and opportunities, let's leave it at that, haha.

yup, independence in preparation for your future. As a student we learn how to be responsible in handling different things so when we finally get old and stopped studying, we're already capable of doing a lot of things.

True, the best thing about being a student is that you don't really have to feed someone.

and we all know, being a student has it ends. =( So by that time, we have to work to live and to feed yourself.

The best thing aside from getting monthly (or weekly in my case) allowance is you get to enjoy too many holidays and times when your teacher says "i can't come to class". When you're already out of school, you can't have that much holidays like you had in your younger years.

Hahaha! I agree! Now, some holidays are not applicable to employees, only to students. That's why being a student is so cool. Now, I miss being a student.

Going to bed in the morning and waking up in the afternoon. Being able to do things for no particular reason. Not having a strict schedule. Not having to be practical. Intellectual pursuits and heavy partying going hand in hand. And so on.

Hey adnileb, I would like to welcome to to this site as well! I am new, not unlike you, and can share your feelings. I am currently a student as well, and can say much about it. It is true that student life can be difficult, but it should all pay off in the end. In my opinion, the best part of being a student is the social life. You will have the best part of your social life while is school. Your social life may continue while you work, but it was not as great has it had been in school. And haha, allowance is another bonus. XD

Hi Michael! Welcome also to mylot!!! I'm not actually new. Though I joined 4 months ago, I'm not active for the past 3 months because I got disconnected in the internet. LOL. So basically, I'm almost 1 month here in mylot. Going back to the topic, being a student has LOTS of social life even inside classrooms. But when you're working, you have to be serious at work and have social life after work specially when you're boss don't like chatting. hahaha! So, student life is still the best.

Hai, Adnileb. i think the best part of being a student is freedom , if u a working adult u will be expected to work a certain of hours of hits a monthly target or whatever your company require you to achieve if u were to get paid, that's so lame.
