quite entertaining as a programme, but does anyone else wonder if when they grow up they'll be embarassed by how pathetically they're obsessed with what other people will think?
they have all that money to have an amazing party, and do pretty much whatever they want to do, and it seems that what matters most to them is impressing other people.
it's not about them having fun, it's about other people being impressed, or more pathetically still, jealous.
they seem to delight in people being disappointed at not getting invited to their party, or having gatecrashers, and being talked about afterwards, when really what matters is that they had a good time.
so do you think when they're old enough to realise that what other people think isn't that important, they'll look back and be at least a little bit embarassed by how sad, desparate and needy they acted?

Being from the UK I look at all the sweet sixteen's and just wonder how they will ever mature I myself have never got on like them yes my family doesn't have the same kind of money but I still feel I was more mature than the sixteen year old's who appear on the shows. They are spoilt and the parents need to realise such a thing with any kid on that show never getting a full on no to anything they ask for. As for the parties it's ridiculous them getting so much with some receiving cars and so on. God help any who meet the immature kids on the road. Will the kids be embarrassed though I think only so but only when their parents stand up and say no to them only until then will they realise how much money really means in this world.

The UK version I think is shown sometimes on Viva I'm not certain about that though. The American version is on Viva also or at least it used to be on one of the music channels. I think there both mainly on MTV though, I myself don't think it's worth leaving the BBC but the show can be entertaining the odd time whilst too much I find myself getting annoyed at the sixteen year olds along with the parents who sustain no control over them.

in the UK it's on Viva quite often. sometimes they show the UK ones and sometimes the US ones.
it's quite entertaining. there was some boy from Wales that wanted to turn up in a helicopter, and said that he wanted to turn up and get out of the helicopter with all his "fans" (his own word, conveniently forgetting they are friends not fans) screaming.
silly boy.

That is really silly for those modern girls who had done such things. Indeed, that is what matters to most girls right now, they are simply focus on how popular they can get during their teenage's years, and make other people's jealous, especially those girls they afraid the most. So, if they grew up and realized how stupid they had acted that way.

That show is extremely pathetic. What more can you expect form a sixteen year old, though, I guess. However, people like that who have been so majorly spoiled there entire lives tend to have a hard time growing up, so unfortunately, they will probably always be like this. Its sad that sometimes, even adults act this way. I thse kids never mature, then no, I dont think they will look back and realize how immature and ridiculous they were. Instead, they will probably reminisce about the days when mommy and daddy handed them everything they could ever want.

hi Galena,
I also watch super sweet sixteen at MTV and now they have a new show inline with it called My Super Sweet Worldwide which is much bigger and for rich people that are over 16. The show is so crazy and funny all at the same time. You get to see spoiled rich kid who wants to be at the tip of the society and be the best among their peers. I wonder too if they'll be proud when they get older and see how they acted on their 16th birthday,

Super sweet sixteen, the name itself delineating the story of the serial.
The women are mostly liking serials. They sticked to TVs when serials are broadcasting. Todays worlds the TV artists also getting fame similar to Silver screen actors. And the serials are producing with hight budget and with good society morals.

This show angers me, well passively at least. It's amazing to me how bratty some of these kids are acting needing big, lavish parties for a 16th birthday. For young girls turning "sweet" sixteen is sort of an automatic rite of passage into and towards becoming a woman. I'm just shocked that in this type of an economy, people are spending as much as they do on them. People spending as much as $10, $20, $50 or $100k is absurd!
As for what they're learning from that experience it has to be of minimal value. They're being taught that life's milestones can only be appreciated with lavish and extravagant celebrations that focus on being seen, invited to or apart of are of the utmost importance in life. There's no emphasis on loved ones or family.
