Nowadays, rather than having no job at all, we grab job offers that is not related to our college degree , but which we could very well do ourselves.
Like in our office, we have an employee who is in the purchasing dept. but who is a licensed civil engineer. Lately, she resigned because the job of a civil engineer in their place was vacated so she applied and passed.

Sometimes, we have a dream but we never reach it, that's right. Many times the problem is that a person only rest dreaming and permitts that his/her live pass besides. Many people don't realize that live is very short, that makes the time so precious.
So we need motivation to fight for our dreams. Everyone should ask him/herself: What do I really want to do? Once we know what it is, we have to etablish a proyect, a way, to get there and start working on it.
It's right that for someone it seems to be easier than for others. Some of us get quicker to realize their dreams than others. But everybody is able to reach everything we want, starting by something so simply than a college degree.
It doesn't matter "when" we arrive, the most important point is "that" we arrive.

Yes, there's lot of men and women doing works not related on their education. This is due to lack of opportunities to practice their craft or be in their respective field. I guess many works today are basically technology oriented and not much are qualified for the task. There's so much wrong in the education system ,too, allowing courses not accessible to the demands and left many degree holder in the fold of unemployment or with mismatch work career.

I agree with what Edna wrote above that one factor is lack of opportunity in the chosen field of career. But one reason also is that there are people who do not pursue there dream. They just end up dreaming and doing nothing to achieve it. They do not seek opportunity but just wait for it to come.
I guess there are a of of factors concerning this. It could also be one's status in life. Others might be lacking motivation as well. It will remain if we do nothing to make it a reality. But I believe that as long as there is life, there is still hope and chance for us to reach it. Just what camomile said that it doesn't matter when but what's important is that we are still able to arrive.
Have a nice day!
