It is impossible to make any significant increase in height after age 25. Your bones stop growing when you are about 18 or 20 and there is nothing which will make them grow any more after that. The only changes you can make are by correcting your posture.

It is a fact that we are slightly taller in the morning than in the evening. You may find, perhaps, half an inch difference in height if you measure yourself in the morning, immediately after getting out of bed, and then measure yourself in the evening before going to bed.
This is because every joint has a 'cushion' between it which is compressed a fraction when we are standing and relaxes when we lie down.
Although it is possible to make temporary changes by stretching the body (for example, by hanging by our hands for some minutes), which may gain you an inch or so if you measure yourself directly afterwards, you can only make any permanent changes by improving one's posture. Actually, the change is often largely mental: you are as tall as you feel and as others perceive you to be!

Hi Owlwings and Alice.
Actually, the change is often largely mental: you are as tall as you feel and as others perceive you to be!
it is hard to do that when someone look down to me when we are having conversation.
maybe i have to start to make up my mind mentally.

Here is a tip, ifa225.
When you are talking to someone who is taller than you, don't lift your face to look up at him/her. Keep your head erect and your face vertical and lift your eyes ONLY.
This has a psychological effect on the other person and makes him/her perceive you as taller than you really are.

The only sure-fire, natural, safe method to grow taller is to eat well to protect bone mass and stand up straight! There is no get taller pill--all that will do is cost you money.

I do not know, but are you lactose intolerant? I would ask your doctor to be more specific and to give you a list of foods--that is his job. Sorry I can't be of more help.

i have no idea if it would actually work. Like anything, new things come out but they don't always work, or they only work for certain people, our bodies react differently to things. I always thought that we stopped growing when we reached our early twenties. I can't see how we could possibly grow taller, especially when we are in our thirties if not older. I guess if this is what you want to try as you want to be taller then it may be worth trying.

I don't think so.I am surprised to hear that we can increase our height even after 25+ age. It is impossible thing as our body does not allow this thing. I will only suggest you not to try to increase your height if you are more than 25 years old. Only you can increase your height by natural exercise. The reason is these exercise are not harmful for our body.

Yes, you are right. Yoga is the best exercise in this case. And also it is not harmful. You can continue to do yoga and there may be chances of increasing your height. Moreover, yoga will keep you health and give you strength against diseases. So keep doing yoga.

Hi ifa....
I think gaining height after your mentioned period is challenging as our hormonic power comes down. I don't know the scientific terms so i am expressing with my own manner. But yes, we can gain or loss weight.
please don't mind if i have hurt you any way. Take care.

I'm afraid it's not possible to gain height once you have passed your growth period. For some people it can be until you're 20 years old, for some others it ends in their teenage years.
Your bones won't grow anymore when you have reached, for example, 40 years old. If you have a spine problem and they can find the way to make it straight you will look virtually taller, but because a curved spine and a straight one look different.

Hi ifa,
I dont think that after 25 anything except a miracle can help in increasing the height. If there is anything beyond this, I think it is qoing to be harmful to our health and would have side-effects for sure.
