We are planning to get married next year. Now there is an issue as to what month to have it. My friends would joke that it's best to have it on December because it's cold. Others say have it on May to have your union blazing hot...hahaha They keep on making this kind of jokes. Now could you share what month you got married? Why did you choose that month?

I think the best month to get married in is in the spring when all the beautiful flowers start to bloom. Between April and May its not to hot and not to cold I think the weather is nice in those months. And I love to watch the flowers bloom. What are your dreams in the way you want your wedding to look and your dress? Good luck to you on your wedding.

I want it with lots of fresh flowers. In the church of course. I actually can't decide yet what kind of dress but it should be simple and elegant. Really in love with violet and silver as motif. I still can't decide what theme. Thank you sweetie.. :)

Silver and violet are both beautiful colors. Purple colors have always been my favorite. Fresh flowers would be beautiful. For decorations I would go with a color you like and a color that your soon to be groom likes. Depends on what color his tux is going to be. For my flowers I carried they were in light purple and had cream color flowers to. Your welcome.

We're planning on having our wedding on November 2012. Now, there's really no special explanation why we choose November, I guess we just used the elimination process.. First quarter of 2012 is too early for us, and we still need time to save, and then during the summer is just too hot, after that it would begin to be really rainy and the weather unpredictable.. and it's more expensive to get married in December than in any other month, so we were left with November. LOL.

I've never thought of that really.. thanks for pointing it out. hehehe...
I guess we just need to get the perfect timing so the flowers won't be too expensive when we get married.

really that depends on where you live and what sort of wedding you want.
because we are in the UK, and wanted an outdoor ceremony and reception, we chose September.
September is towards the end of Summer, but is the most consistantly warm and dry month of the year. early and mid summer are more likely to rain. it nearly always rains on the Summer Solstice, and gets warmer afterwards.
we had a brief spell of rain, but most of the day was dry, sunny, and warm without being too hot for formal clothing.

Well each month of the year has something to offer, it's depends on your needs and preference. I got married in the month of March. Three of us,sister were married on this month and seems it's a lucky month. Peaceful marriage life and quite stable finance. We chose this month cause it's vacation time, no school works and free schedule for all of us who has to depend on school activities for our schedule! Our career is in teaching you know!

In what month it is better to marry?
Marry when the year is new and will love forever.
When in February the birds find their mate, your fate will not meet fear.
If you wed when March winds beat you know and sadness and happiness.
Married in April and will ever know the joy you both.
Marry in May and I regret that day.
Marry when June roses shine and you'll wander overseas.
Those who in July do wed must labor for daily bread.
In August you can marry anytime.
In September, your life will be rich.
If in October you chosen love will come, love and richness.
If you marry in November, only joys will come, remember.
When snow falls in December, marry and true love will last.
June was considered the luckiest month for weddings.
May was always and still is considered the most unlucky month for weddings. This fear may have left the ancient Romans who believed strongly in signs. A proof of this can be found in a quote from Ovid's "That time is not auspicious for the marriage. The one who is getting married then his wife will not stay long. "
Regardless of the month on which you choose, you and your future husband will wishing: a stone house!

It depends on what type of wedding you want. If you want a beach wedding then of course the summer time is going to be the best time for that and of course non rainy months as well. Now if you want a winter wonderland wedding think about the snow and winter weather of the Northern states, but you then never know when a bizzard is going to happen and the day of your wedding could be reuined and i would say that the best months to have a wedding would be the summer months.
I am not married but one day would love to be. Good Luck

Thank you! Too bad it doesn't snow here in the Philippines.. Well, do you think violet and silver as motif is okay for summer? I like it because the combination is elegant..

Congrats on your upcoming marriage!
I don't think there really is a "best" month to get married. It really depends on the couple and what you're looking for and want to get out of the wedding. Hubby and I got married in July. We were getting married in the northern United States where winters are terribly cold and miserable and always filled with lots of snow. Since I hate the cold and didn't want to freeze on my wedding day, not to mention we didn't want to run the risk of getting snowed in or having trouble getting to the wedding, so we ruled out all of the winter months.
I always wanted a summer wedding because it was warm, so that's what we settled with. We wanted either June or July, but the reception hall we wanted only had two free dates at that point and one was hubby's brother's birthday and we didn't want to get married that day, so it was really easy to settle on a date. :)
Good luck choosing your own special date!

I got married in July and I was very satisfied with that month because I was on holiday and I could enjoy my honeymoon by travelling to several European countries,so it was a hot and exciting summer;anyway,I think every month is good to get married if you do it with the right person.

Well good for you! We can't afford to go out of the country, it's way too expensive. But then again you are right, any month is good especially if you're marrying the right person.. :)
