I have recently discovered the benefits of herbal coffee, but there are many varieties of them. I used to drink those ordinary, commercialized and processed instant coffee but they just give me hyperacidity.
Now there's this herbal coffee that I have been drinking. They call it coffee for the mind. It has pycnogenol, choline, gingo biloba, ginseng, gotu kola and bacopa monnieri... these are ingredients, if my research is correct, that helps enhance brain functioning and concentration. As a writer who works around 9 hours a day, I drink the coffee. and I could say that it really works for me! Making me understand easily the topics I was researching and writing my ideas easily.
Is it really the effect of the herbal ingredients? or is this just a self-fulfilling prophecy? What are your thoughts? Do you believe in herbal coffees?

I am amazed to hear that herbal coffees are somewhat uncommon. Maybe it's just around Asia where this type of coffee is popular especially in India and China where herbs are of abundance. Anyways, if you do find one in your place and drink one, i hope you will be enjoying a cup or two.

I mostly like regular coffee the best, I would try something like hazelnut flavor, dark roast etc... but I never heard of herbal coffee.

with regular coffee, the more you drink it, the more risk of having these involuntary spasm on your nerves or muscles. I heard coffee addicts will also startle easily. With herbal coffee, it is said that such condition is avoided considering that the ingredients are of natural components. Herbal coffees are common in Asia, I think.

I think you can visit your local health shop and see if they have herbal coffees. I heard there are those made from wheat or barley or something. I don't know if "organic coffee" is a close definition. You can also visit US-based online shops, or online health shops, and I'm sure you can find what herbal coffees are.
Generally, herbal coffees are common in Asia especially in the Indian and Chinese history where herbs have a lot of uses in medicine, beauty and health.
