Why can't you just say the name of the sites outright?

Whenever a newbie or any MyLotter for that matter ask for the sites where they can earn money from, people tend to say "check my profile for the list of sites" or "i have a list of sites that pay me" or "add me up and i'll give you a pm".
Well, I understand the main purpose why people kept saying such things (I may have been a culprit as well), but I believe we can actually say the name of the site and give brief description about it. I'm sure that if the person is interested, he/she would contact you. Or if you don't want to give the name of the site, then you can just give a background of the program you're in, just a simple teaser.
Do I hear a violent reaction? Haha.

In my opinion one should not say like visit my profile or pm me, it irritates me a lot,to pm someone and get vthe site name. But if someone has given the name of the site then we should voluntarily visit their profile and join the site from there, as if someone is letting us know about a good site then we should also benefit him/her by joining it under them

My point exactly! Sometimes when I read a discussion, I feel sorry for the asker especially the newbies. They just wanted to know the names of the sites they can join but they are instead advised to check the profiles of the one providing the answer. How about say the name of the site then add "you'll find information of the site in my profile"? Isn't that much better?

People want you (or whoever asks the question) to use their referral link, and they are not allowed in discussions, but they are allowed in profiles. That is the main reason, I think.

hi yallit,
Nice post.
I often experienced anything like this.
Perhaps this is one trick or strategy to seek referrals. But, this way is not necessarily successful.
I personally would be more interested in being a referral another person if the person is forthright with explaining the purpose and goals with complete and clear.
If someone gave me the url in order to get referrals, without explaining the purpose and goals, I will look at the url provided and opening urls without additional /ref.
For me, I will feel happy and more interested if everything goes with candor.

I think if they were to mention the name of the website on their discussion instead of directing them to their profile, they might lose the chance of getting that referral. A newbie may just type the name of the website on their browser instead of checking them out on their profile.

It is always interesting to write something provoking to see what kind of responding reaction you get. I agree with you, that it is good to get the basic facts about a website you want to let people know about. However I think there are rules where and how you are allowed to posts the url to websites.
This is a good website to interact with others, share thoughts, knowledge and experience. Helping each other with useful websites to make a better life.

I think you are right. Provoking questions and or topics entice people emotionally. That is why I like this site we can read and respond and although I would love knowing how to make money on line, I would prefer people discusing the pros and the cons of money making sites that they have tried and to discuss how it is going and if it works. I would believe someone who is discussing and sharing their ideas and experiences verse someon who is boasting that they are making money and reference you to their website. You offered a great response to this discussion.
