My friends son is only 7 years old and has adhd. The school knows what he is like and that is one of the reasons to why he has to have one to one teaching.Yet one of our friends saw this boy on his own ringing the school front door bell for someone to let him in, he was on his own at the time and noone out the front of the school with him.The friend took the time to ensure that the boy was taken in school where he should have been and was told that he always comes back in.What happens if it was another person and they took the boy or he went onto the road, knowing that the child has no fright what so ever.

If this boy gets one on one help from a teacher's aid, where was she when this boy wondered outside??? Maybe he needs constant supervision. Glad this all worked out, but the parent's needs to talk to the school to make sure this doesn't happen again.

First of all, I have to say that I think that the school has a problem that the child is able to get out of the building unattended. At my daughter's school something like this would never happen because they always have someone watching the front door and all of the other doors in the school are attached to classrooms so that there are teachers paying attention to those doors. The goal of a school is to keep the students safe and if they are able to get out of the building without someone watching them is not keeping the kids safe.

The head teacher, all the teaching staff, the teaching assistants, the dinner ladies and the care taker should know about this boy that has got adhd. It is shocking that the 7 year old boy was seen ringing the front bell of the school on his own. If he does get one to one help I wonder where his teaching assistant was. It was lucky that the boys friend was watching out for him. The little boy doesn't seem to have any sense of possible danger. He might go onto the road and get run over! He might be taken away by a dangerous stranger. Yes, these things are both possible. The school are 100% responsible for the little boy. I am a primary school teacher. I know that a Year 6 boy often ran off and his teaching assistant following him and making sure he was all right. One time he climbed into a large rubbish bin and the teaching assistant sat watching him.

Hi. joystick. You are right. Many predators would love to get their hands on him. Being that he can't fight back, allows his guard to be let down fully. Someone should supervise him and not take their eyes off of him. I hope that this can be done for his sake. I am sure that his parents would devastated if something bad ever was to happen to him. He needs immediate protection!

Sounds like your son' friend is not supervised very well! That is nuts! It should be brought up to the principle! Sounds like the parents need to be informed, too! Something needs to be done! If not, this boy could get killed going in the road! Be aductive or just go missing! This is not right!

Good thing that miracles happen, and a kind person got the kid's attention. If not something bad might happen. Its not just by watching too much television that you might think that maybe that boy could be abducted or anything. The school also has a responsibility of knowing student that has problems like that and maybe more. That would help in knowing more about the students who has problems.

I also like that only in my 7years of age. At that time i was in 2nd class. I was went to school when my parents give me money only. If they were not given me money for my chocolates i won't went. So, the children mind set is so different, we can teach them the importance of school life by creating the interest in them. We have to show them the real enjoyment of the school life to them then they will go automatically.

This is something that shouldn't happen. You're right - if the wrong person came along it could end very badly. If he needs to be supervised, I think the school has a responsibility to make sure that he is.
