I have a cup of hot tea. And then I also take a shower as that does help. My Son is the other way around he takes a shower to wake up. I have alway's taken one as I'm dirty or to sleep. So Yes the tea helps me as well. Grandma used to drink hot milk. NOT ick never did like it. So what do you do to help you sleep?

I just lie in bed and hope that I do get some shut eye. Sometimes when I really can't sleep, I go online and try to post and respond to discussions or read something on the internet. I share my bedroom with my mother ever since I lost my house and had to live in my brothers' house. When I used to have my own room, I would get a book and read myself to sleep. Now I either just lie in bed in the hopes of getting sleep or just go downstairs and go online.

I just give up and get a book to read. I know from experience that when I can't sleep, nothing will help. Might as well enjoy that time rather than fret about it. I have a lot of trouble sleeping. I'll be drifting off and all of a sudden feel as if I'm going to vomit so I have to sit up. Then I'm wide awake for at least an hour. I wake up several times a night with my joints hurting. As you can imagine, I go through a lot of books!

Yes I go through alot of books as well. I used to try being on comp. Well, that didn't work as I alway's found something else on here to do. Well, lastnight I went to bed layed there for ever but didn't get up and went to sleep. But I toshed and turned until I did go to sleep. I think the one thing that did help was I turned the haet down to 66 as they say you sleep better.

When I can't sleep, I usually go online, read a little bit, drink some milk, watch a little bit of a movie, or something like that. usually this helps me fall asleep. Sometimes, it does take a while, but for the most part, this helps me go to sleep fairly quickly.

It is an interesting question. But i have a strange answer of it. Whenever i am not able to sleep, i just start reading books. And i feel sleep after spending more than ten minutes with books. I assure you this trick is very useful. Not only i have gone through this but everybody also know. Having milk and a cup of hot tea are nothing to do with the sleep.

When I could hardly get my sleep, I rest flat on my back as I watch a film or two (classic chivalric films) as I sip green tea with the twist of lemon or mint. After which I find my self dozing off even before the film ends. Sounds funny but it works. Gotta try it, too.

When I can't sleep, I usually read a book or watch a movie in my iPod till my eyelids decide to fall down by themselves. It's usually effective for me. I tried drinking hot milk but it didn't help. Being a premedical student, I have this thing for staying up all night so I guess my body got used to the routine. Good thing reading books and watching movies help me in my dilemma.

If you cannot sleep try to spend your time reading some books. Before you go to bed make it sure that you are clean to make it your smell is fresh. Then just always pray before you sleep.

For me a warm shower really helps then in case I'm not sleepy yet, I try to read a good book, watch TV or listen to soothing music. Drinking hot milk is a no no for me either since it will only give me a really bad stomack ache. Tea helps too but I sometimes still end up running to the bathroom after wards.

I try to keep a regular bed time routine. I get ready for bed, take a sleeping pill, read a little then sleep.

A cup of tea? I don't think a cup of tea would put me to sleep but keeps me wild awake. Most of the time, when I cannot sleep, I just stay lying down on the bed and try ahrd to sleep... I don't feel like getting up to do something instead. Because I am day person, I like to do things during the day, if I get up and do stuff in the middle of the night, I would feel sleepy during the day.

If I can't sleep I'll usually try watching TV until I feel sleepy. Of course if that doesn't work then I do sometimes just stay awake until I feel sleepy. Warm drinks don't really do anything for me other than wake me up a bit.

Before going to bed take a hot bath with lavender oil, relaxes me a lot. I sit in bed, reading a few pages, I put a quiet soft music, and try not to make it more demanding activities.Help me have a peaceful sleep.

I won't be able to sleep if I have a cup of tea. I'd be wide awake. Did you know that tea has more caffeine than coffee? What I usually do is to watch a movie on the TV until my eyes get tired. Then the TV will be watching me sleep instead, LOL!
