Hello,
Now I am new at this so bare with me.I am writing my first Hub about Travel to Antarctica.I would love to hear from anyone who has been there and how you found it as a Travel destination. What did you enjoy the most? What would have made your trip better? What did you miss out on that you would make a point of doing should you go again etc.
I would also love to hear from you if you would like to go to Antarctica one day and what would your reasons be for wanting to go there?

Not yet but I know the tourists there will stay in those pressurized shelters that will be similar to the soon to be Mars colonies. They have bases were its warm inside. You may not believe it but inside those warm pressurized shelters they have a garden, yes a freakin garden where they raised vegetable. The most popular delicacy in Antarctica would be Krill. Krill is a transparent shrimp like creature and it is only found in Antarctica and it is said to be delicious.

Hi, Thanks for responding.I know a lot of people stay at Antarctica over the Summer months.Research and such.I guess they would need to have fresh greens.I did not know that.I hope I can go and try that Krill one day bet it tastes good.

they said its like shrimp but its more delicious because they live in cleaner water and cold temperatures helps too.

Yes I feel the same way.I think to travel to Antarctica would have a major impact on how you view the world.Like no other place could. It shows the true raw side of Nature and total extremes. If you could have the perfect weather the scenery would be out of this world.Hope you get to go some day.

I haven't been to Antarctica and don't believe that I will ever go there. It would be an exceptionally cold destination and getting there from where I live in Europe it would be fantastically expensive. A trip that I would prefer to do is sail around the Galapagos Islands off the coast of Ecuador. One day I would like to go to Churchill in Canada and have a trip to see the polar bears. The most exciting thing to see in Antarctica would be the penguins. I adore penguins and have been them on my travels in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. So far in my life I have seen fairy penguins also called blue penguins, yellow eyed penguins and African penguins.
