All you can do is be a friend and continue to speak to your friend about getting help. Maybe any family members who can also encourage the person to stop?
As we no matter how much we try to help someone with the addiction, cannot force them, as unless they say I have a problem and need help nothing will change it.
It is a very difficult addiction to kick, but not impossible. So continue to be there for your friend and hopefully they do not take it overboard.
Sorry about that as it has to be hard to see the person waste their life this way.

So sorry to hear this sweetie. I do know a 23 year old male, who no matter what all the family and friends say to try and help it has been a vicious repetitive addiction.
I do hope she gets the message soon as overdosing is possible. Bless you for caring so much.

if you feel like you've already done everything that you have to do as a friend. then let go, its tough we all know, but sometimes people learn in their own ways whether they learn it in a good way, or they'll learn it in hard way. you've been a good friend though, kudos.

No matter how much you want to you cannot help someone that doesn't want help. May need a rehab but have to want to do it themselves. My thoughts are with you.
