After last week having some results which were against the bookie's odds, now we have another four thrilling encounters.
For me as a Bayern fan, the clash with Inter is the most important game. I hope that Bayern will be able to knock Inter out and take a partial revenge for last season's lost final, which made me feel bad a long period of time.
My prediction for the other three games are
Lyon-Real 2-0
Copenhagen-Chelsea 2-1
Marseille-United 2-1
I am not giving a prediction for Bayern's game, but I hope for a draw at least.
So what are your predictions? Let me know, so we can discuss about it.

Since I'm a Juve and MU fans, so it's more a hope than prediction:)
Bayern 2 - 1 Inter Milan
Lyon 1 - 0 Real Madrid
Copenhagen 1 - 1 Chelsea
Marseille 1 - 2 MU
Although to be honest, i agree that sometimes MU still playing unstable :(
If they do lose in this first leg, hope they can revenge it in the second leg.
Go MU! :D

Inter will face Bayern in Milano, so the prediction should be made according to that. But if Bayern wins with 2-1 in Milano, I will be very happy.

Ups, my mistake. Forgot the home ground. But still, I 'hope' its gonna be Inter Milan 1 - 2 Bayern in Milano :D
And there you go, I've already slipped 2 predictions:
Lyon 1 - 1 Real Madrid
Copenhagen 0 - 2 Chelsea
Hope I get the remaining two predictions :D

If your prediction will be true, and Bayern wins, then I will ask you to always predict a Bayern victory. I cannot wait for tonight's game. The lost final's pain is still in me.

I think Bayern have a great chance Inter out. They are not the same team as last season. Chelsea are struggling at the moment but I fancy them to beat Copenhagen, I fancy Real Madrid also and United to beat Marsielle.
I'll go Bayern 1-0
Chelsea 2-0
Real 3-1
United 1-0.
By the way I usually have a little bet on football results on a weekend and very rarely win, so my preditions mean absolutely nothing.

I am also a regular better, and I have made out a sort of strategy. It seems to bring me a bit more, so if you are interested, then we can talk in private if you want. Or here. It is up to you.

As for your predictions, I think Chelsea is going to qualify, by winning at home, but I don't see United going through. Their way of playing hasn't convinced me at all this season and Marseille is a good team. As for Real, I don't really know what to think about them, they are very unpredictable many times.

United haven't concvinced me this season, by United standard I think they are poor, however I think that the experience they have will be enough to see them through.
I fancy Madrid because I think the la ligs title is over for them and the champions league is the main chance of glory, I don't think they are great at the back but they are good going forward, plus they are quality at the Bernabau.
I'll talk in private about your stratergy. Can we do it tomorrow?

You are anticipating very close games. And let me tell you, all of the games can go both ways or end in a draw. Very tough matches, don't you think?

Let's take it match by match.
1. FCK - Chelsea: a very interesting game. Chelsea's performance the last 18 games has been very bad. They have only won 6 matches, but we must remember that Chelsea has played very well in Champions League. FCK has surprised a lot of people with their excellent draw against Barcelona. They have also played very well in Denmark, where they have a lead with 19 points or something like that.
I take the chance and say 1-0 to FCK.
2. Lyon-Real Madrid: Lyon hasn't performed that well this season, while Real Madrid has made a lot of improvements. Real has been better in their defence and in their offensive. Because we are in France, I think it will be close match.
I go for a 0-2.
3. Marseille-United: I think Marseille's defence has been very good this season. Manchester United has played very bad on away ground, so I think this one is a draw.
0-0 or 1-1.
4. Inter-Bayern Münich. The final last year. Bayern wants their revenge and even though they haven't played brilliant, I think they are better than Inter. Inter has been very poor in the beginning of the season. In Italy it'll be a draw.
1-1.

You did a great analysis here. I have to say that I agree with your first prediction and I believe that FCK will win at home against Chelsea, but won't qualify.
Lyon is not the same Lyon anymore, but that was the case last year as well and they have knocked Real out. Because of Mourinho, Real is unpredictable, but I still believe that this will be final destination for Real.
United doesn't seem to me to be able to score a lot, and Marseille has a good offensive power. I believe Marseille will win at home and won't loose at Old Trafford, but this is only a feeling, just like at Lyon.
Inter vs. Bayern: I do hope for a Bayern qualification and if the team stays fit it should be better than Inter, who has many problems in the defense. I am not saying that Bayern is brilliant, but I know what they are capable of and I have strong hopes regarding them. A draw would be great, because in Munchen Bayern is a force.

I really expected more from FCK, but maybe they have had too much respect in front of Chelsea and they were too excited about having the chance to play in quarter finals. But I have to say, they won't play quarterfinals this year. But either way, a great achievement to have qualified till here.
I think Lyon was slightly better than Real, but Real had the greater scoring opportunities, therefore the result is pretty correct. I also think now that Real will qualify, but who knows?
Marseille vs United was maybe the worst game in this round, in the highlights reel there were only a few opportunities, nothing to mention. I think that Marseille still has chances to qualify, although it will be very hard.
I think that Inter vs Bayern was the most spectacular game in this round, with Bayern playing better and Inter having the clearer goal scoring opportunities. However, Bayern stroke two times the bar, and also had a few more chances. Kraft was amazing, making some superb saves, and luckily Julio Cesar has made a mistake and Gomez took advantage of it. But the qualification is not yet achieved, there will be another difficult 90 minutes in Munchen.

Let's start with the game in France. Real didn't take their chances of scoring goals. They could have scored more, but Lyon stood very well in their defence. It's difficult for every team to play against french teams in France.
Real Madrid has been very strong on home ground, and will therefore qualify for the next round without problems.
The other game yesterday between FCK and Chelsea wasn't that good, as I expected. FCK played veery poor, and made a lot of mistakes. I think it's because it's long time since, they have played some games that count.
-------
For todays matches, I also think United will have a hard time scoring a goal in France against Marseille, but I still think That United will win it on home ground and qualify for next round.
The game between Inter and Bayern. I also think Bayern is stronger than Inter at the moment, but because it's champions league everything can happen, and this game is very unpredictable.

my prediction for these games are :
lyon - Real : 1-0
Chel- Copenhagen: 1-1
ManU- Marseille : 2-0 (I'm ManU's fan :D)
hopefully ManU will win. BTW, I just caught the news that Marseille lost 3 of their best striker, brandao, gignac and the other one because of injuries :]

Don't forget that the first leg is at Marseille, not at Old Trafford. And Copenhagen will play at home with Chelsea. It is important, because it has a great influence on the outcome.
