who here paints? what style of painting do you do?

if i was to paint anything, i think my painting would be more abstract in nature.i am not very familiar with the technicalities and would love to hear those who practice this wonderful hobby.cheers! =D

I like the contrast between light and dark,and if I start on a drawing or painting on this theme, say a fire at dusk, I have it done real chance,because the subject fascinates me.If you are a beginner, try to do something simple, otherwise you might just realize a full-blown kitsch,so that her painting has its strict rules,and, like any other field, you can not suddenly do something complex,and also succeed. If you're more advanced, you can afford to do something different, more complex example: a field of tulips, a landscape of woods, a sunrise or a sunset, a fishing boat, a fortress, a flight of butterflies, a bouquet of poppies ...

My paintings are idealistic. I guess it's more like expressionist and surrealist type. I get quite obsessive when I paint.
