Well, my son turned 21 on the 8th of Feb. and I do miss him being 5 and crawling into bed with me saying Mommy can we talk. Now it is yelling up the stairs to me Mom I'm home. Then some nights it is Mom my girlfriend is here to see you. WOW where did the time go? Now he has two job's and is saving for a house and going to get married as soon as she say's yes. She is a great young lady. And they are so cute. So here I am wondering did I do it all right? I must have he is a great young man. No longer Mommy's little boy. One day he will be married. So have you wondered where the time went as you see the children you love all grown up?

I think of it every time I look at my grand daughter who is now reach 5. What makes it more interesting is that she looks so much like her mom at that age. It's like i have my little girl all over again.

Oh my 5 was a very cute age. I told my son that if they ever have kids I will watch the grandkids when they are potty trained. I hate changing diapers. But her Mom said she wants them when there babies so it is a win win with the Grandma's. But we are happy ther are none as of yet. Fininsh college and so on. You have a wonderful day.

Hi onlydia, Though I am not a mother I have seen the way my wife treats my son who would be 9 on March 13 this year. He is in the 4th class in school but his mother does not see him growing. For the mother the son never grows into adulthood. A strange psychology indeed. The pampering, the admonition and his dirty clothes - everything is looked after by his mother. But this is not the case with the girl child. For the mother the daughter has grown up to marriageable age when she is still a school goer. lol

WEll, the good new's here is I don't do my son's clothes and he miss's that. But he is a slob. I told him once if I rewashed anymore of his clothes he was on his own. Well, needless to say the next week he was on his own. My son cooks and on a good day mite do the dishes. Like I said on a good day and I don't think he has to many of those. As I get the dirty dishes and my son and roommate get the trash. You have a great night.

Give me some tips on how your son turned out to be this good? i have two lil boys and a lil girl. my boys are 4 and 1 year olds.. and they can be pretty naughty and so hyper but i guess that is how they really is and i know there is more to come. My sons are like my teddy bears i love to hug them and kiss them and so's my lil princess and i know time will also come that they will coem home and introduce their girlfriends and boyfriend.. ohh and i hope by that time they will turn out to be good young people who knows how to respect. The only thing i want them to be is to be respectful and responsible..how did you do it?

Well, not all of it was pretty. Well, I told him that he would graduate or die. He graduated. As I only had to put my hands on him a couple of times. I did feel bad but yet at the sametime I couldn't let him talk to me the way he did. I didn't beat him when he took my van at the age of 15 to see a girl. But when he skipped school to be with same girl. I bounced him off the wall. I told him you will not mess up your Ed. for any girl. As my parents never did anything When I skipped school. Well, He got me for a Mom and I wish my Mom would of told my Dad and I would of got my you know what kicked. We had sandwich night and he would do homework everynight. Homework first I didn't care how long it took. We would eat while he did it. I would do the dishes as he could do them on the weekend. So each night was something that we would call it. Then there was a hour in the living room with the candles and a good show. Then we would save our money for trips to Mcdonalds or a really nice place to eat. Make Sandwiches and go to the park in the summer. We would go to Museums on the way to My parents house and when we saved and just went to other place's. In a nut shell I knew where he was and I knew his friends and there parents. When he did something wrong I yelled then sent him to his room or me to mine. Waited about 20 min. Then I would go talk to him or he would come to my room and we would talk. No matter How mad I am at him I have never let him leave without saying I LOVE YOU

I know I have heard people says all the time that they will grow up so big before you know it! My son is 5 months old now and I feel like he was just born yesterday... I can't believe how quick time has gone away... I am cherishing all these moments so much. See we want our children to grow but at the time we don't want them to grow so quick...

Your son sounds to be a great man, saving his money for a house and all. You definitely have done a good job. Well about me, my mom still talks about the time when i was a toddler a lot. To be honest i get embarrassed -.-

Don't be embarressed as that is when you was so cute and could do no wrong and if you did it was cute. Now not so much. But we still love our kids and we do look at you and miss that little one.

We always see them as our babies, don't we? Mine are in their early 20's, too, and sometimes I can't believe they are adults! All you can do is to do the best you can then pray you did it right. It sounds as if you did!
