Have you watched the movie 124 hours? If you were in Aron's shoes would you cut your arm so you will be free? What other possible solution can you suggest?

I honestly think that I would have cut my arm off. I would have tried everything first, but if I had to I would have cut it off. Life with one are is better than no life in my opinion.

It's a very tough decision, I guess when you are there you will do the most impossible thing just to survive.

I think what Aaron did was pretty right. And I think most of the people in aaron's shoes will do that because when u know that u r going to die, then u will do whatever u can to save your life. U can only understand a situation like that when u experience it personally.

I think the other possible ways are if there is a flood due to rain, and the rock come loose by itself as shown in the movie. The other possible chance would be if someone spots him. If it was me, I think i wouldn't have that much courage to cut my hand off. Who knows. May be if i am stuck like that, my mind may change and i might cut my hand loose.

But the rain is just his dream and the rock is fit enough to the wall. I don't think I can cut part of my body, I can't hurt my self.

Oh my golly! I'd die before I could do that. I just don't have the guts. Besides, I wouldn't dare cross the desert alone. But I really salute him for surviving such an unfortunate event. (:

I also can't do that, hurting my self is the least that I will do. Is it really based on true story? There are many movies that claimed based on true event or story but actually not. Anyways, he's one tough guy.
