Actually I have never tried to use Windows XP's inbuilt CD burner. I am not sure why. Perhaps I like to use Nero and I get used to burn my CD or DVD by it. So I don't want to try another software although it is available.

I never used xp's inbuilt cd burner. When I bought my first computer, it comes with a DVD burner and a nero software. I kept the cd and I install it whenever I re-install windows. Yes, I had problems with nero before but I think that it has something to do with the disc that you use. Now, whenever I need to burn files, I burn it as an image first then burn it to the disc. It is more work but at least I do not waste discs. Its frustrating when you are burning and when you are almost done, an error message pops up and then you can no longer use your dvd again.
