My boss is leaving

If your boss was leaving and new management was taking over...how does one cope with this change? I have never experienced this before and am wondering how others have coped with a change like this.

I would talk to my colleagues about what if anything they had heard about the new Boss and I would also wait to see what kind of Boss the new one was as some people work in different ways so what works with one person may not work with the new Manager.
