Rumors are over flowing about the second-generation iPad or iPad2.
Apple iPad 2 specs:
-carbon fiber shell instead of aluminum
-7 -inch screen, and thinner
-with GSM & CDMA networks
-USD port & SD card slot
-retina display
-faster processor
-more memory
-no home button
-probably will be released by spring
- Wall Strret Journal claimed on February 8, 2011 that the new iPad has gone into full production.
-Latest news is that iPad will be released a bit further maybe by June.
So what do you think about the new Apple iPad? Any ideas or words to express about the new features? Or are your planning to buy an iPad but just decided to wait for the new iPad?
I'm not buying though, but I'm excited to see the whole design...

I skipped the first generation mainly because it lacks USB ports and doesn't support multitasking. If they add these features, maybe I'll buy it.

Hey Bionicman,
Yeah it doesnt have a USB port yeah thats a down side of it but, It does Multitask that feature was added in November last year that was a software update. So it can Multitask. I'm sure the new iPad 2 coming out will have everything everyone wants. Because it has to compete with other tablets That have USB and cameras and SD slots If they dont no one will buy it

Sounds pretty good to me! I am personally looking into other options instead of the iPad, there are several similar products from other manufacturers as well. So I have no idea what I will end up getting in the end...

I can't believe they are coming out with another generation already. I'm kind of glad I didn't jump on buying the first one. That's the downside to Apple products. For people like me who it takes time to afford something like that, then right after I buy it there is already another generation out. I've thought about the ipad but I don't know what the draw is really. Isn't it basically a laptop minus the keyboard? I love technology but I can't see paying that much for something like that.

Me either. I think it's pretty cool! iPad is a great touch tech computer. Imagine ipad2 - 7inch, thin like macbook, touch screen - very portable - it makes life easier. And I've heard about the specs that iPad 2 features near-field radio chips. Everything has been a whole lot of speculation what the iPad 2 will be made of.
P.S. Just got an info: Apple invites media on march 2 with a tagline - "come see what 2011 will be the year of." We'll see
