It's a question thats run through everybody's mind that has ever play runescape, is membership worth the price tag that comes on it?
Runescape the number 1 free online game that has millions of new players subscribing each month, but is the cash worth the 1 month of membership that you get?As an RS player my self, i got the money and debated for a few weeks, then finally i got the card and said what the heck, ill try it out.
As soon as i got it i was pretty happy, so i ran to the computer got the card and signed up, and quickly logged on RS. I was first at the Grand Exchange and i looked at the peoples clothes and how i saw that each person was wearing something and i realized that membership is alot more that i thought it was.i didnt know what to do so i stood there for a few minutes thinking of what to do, buy something, do a quest, kill something, go to a house party start my own house, there was many options believe me. so i tried farming and summoning then i went and to some house parties.
So really after trying it for a while it was worth it.But i have some few advice to those of you who want to get membership, choose the right time and know why to subscribe.
What i mean by the right time is dont do it during school because chances are you wont log on too often. wait til a break like summer or spring or something like that so you dont waste your money.
the other thing knowing why is important, do it for a good reason like for example you did all the non member quests and you want to do the other ones. is it the skills, items, or something else. but my advice is that to get the 1 month first see if you like it and then get more.
in conclusion i enjoyed my months of membership and i thought it was worth every penny. thanks

Ive been a RS member for several years....and only one thing I want to say...THERE IS NO FUN AS A F2P in RS!!! Theres lots more features, skills, bosses, mini-games + meet a lot of friends. What i most enjoy is talking with RS friends with skype, soon we build a small clan...we have our own website and all sort of things. Im still total addictive to RS, but not as much as the free trade and wilderness come back =(

I believe that is a matter of opinion... to me F2P can be fun, due to the fact i feel i accomplish more without the needed easier shortcut/choices in P2P.
For example:"when runecrafting in f2p, you have to run back and forth or use teletabs with gloves to maximize exp, but in members you can get ultimate exp essentially through the abyss"
I guess it's all in a matter of opinion... and before you ask, yes i have a members account as well.
Aiming to be in the top 250 f2p players atm on my pure f2p :]

Soccer there are online sites where you can participate in surveys and get paid for them, but the amount of time can be rigorous depending on which site you use to get paid... eventually you'll gain the revenue to buy yourself membership. :] ... there was a blog link to it, though i can't supply it right now =3=;

I'm glad you enjoyed your membership. I've tried the membership at runescape before and it was fun trying out all the new skills, exploring a whole new world and play with all the new items. I think it's great advice to only buy membership during the summer or during a period where you can game non-stop. When I had membership, I was literally stuck to the computer milking all of my five dollar's worth (it was a long time ago).

I agree doing a membership during a free time is the best option because you will have more time to take advantage of the members world. If you can buy month to month it will help you level your skills faster because the members worlds offer more places to train that aren't so crowded as on the free worlds.
I also agree that waiting till you do the non-members tasks would be a great idea as well. Focus mainly on doing what you can, especially if you can't afford members benefits from month to month. That way when you can get a members account you can just jump right into doing something you couldn't do on your free account, like stealing
My favorite part about members world was the elf village or whatever that had a bunch of trees and stuff to make bows out of. It made leveling so much easier and also helped me get gold much faster since the bank was so close. I recommend getting a members account as soon as possible but again if you can't afford it every month then get it while you can make the most of it!

Before i get membership on my runescape accounts i make sure that i've maxed out F2P, doing all the free quests and levels. When you become a member most of the quests are reliant on you having certain F2P skills, such as: fishing, cooking, fire making... So instead of wasting time on your membership I would retrieve the skills which are needed for good P2P quests.
