India is the super hot contender to lift the trophy ......
it possesses great batting line up with great depth in their batting.
a great mixture of experience and youth and a balanced bowling attach with experienced bowlers.
a descent fielding side but the spark in batting is tremendous which promises to fire and perform in the subcontinental batting friendly condition which will support our spinners too so keep your finger's crossed because we are going to lift the trophy ...let;s bring it on,..best of luck

India surely is one of the biggest favorites in this tournament...the strong batting line up makes it even more fearsome...as you said its a blend of experience and youth...in include the most respected players like sachin as well as the youth talent kohli....i am very much concerned about our bowling...anyone ill say that our bowling is not so very good...we even let a not so strong team lie Bangladesh to score up to 240...this is not good because when we face other strong teams we will have to take the hit with such low level of bowling....if we improve our bowling department then we are sure to win the world cup..anyway hope everything turns good and we win the cup....

of course i am cheering India whole heartily..yea you are rite about spinners but in the power play spinner wont have a role to play...its that whan runs starts to heap in...but i wont totally underestimated our fats bowlers..i just felt that they are not up to our batting standards...

you have rightly commented that our bowling is a bit sluggish but dont forget that all the matches are in the subcontinent which will support our spinners and we have a good bunch of spinners so dont worry....and cheer for india

from advantage point of view, yes this is the best chance india has to lift the world cup this time. we have a very good team and all the players are playing real good cricket. youngsters are fighting to prove themselves and that means the senior players also have to perform to make a point about them being in the team. and this clearly means performance all round. and that is what is required for a team to win a major tournament. and we have an advantage that we are playing on pitches where the ball will not bounce much and that means our players will not face the problem which we could have faced on fast pitches away from home. and then the home support is always a big thing. so in short, this is the time man... go india go

India is always a super hot contender for any world cup since 1983. That is how the media keeps building it up. Yet, India has won nothing since 1983 though they made the final once. So I would not say that this is India's greatest chance or anything like that. Rather I would wait till the tournament proceeds to it's business end i.e. the quarter finals and then make the predictions.
Cheers!

from quarterfinals the knockout stage starts and this means you have to play well on a given day and a bad day can lift you out of the competition...so let see what happens ,...

Yes,India has really a great chance to win this year world cup.Because selected players are already in form. And they have worked very much hard and practiced a lot and therefore, they are also called one of the dangerous teams in today's time.
My best wishes are always with Indian Team. And i have a great hope for India this time.

yes, it is! Indian team is really a balanced team this time. They have a great chance to winning the worldcup. I'm a Bangladeshi and its really hurt when they beat my team. But my team play well against them as they are the most favorite team for this worldcup.

Hi zaidatesham,
The team India has everything to lift the cup but lacks only in handling pressure. At least the chief of the selection feels this is the best possible team for India to repeat the glory of 1983.
Let us see how India deals with its second match.

ya the pressure will be high as we will be playing infront of our home crowd but champions are the outcome of hard work and if they cope with this they can do well ....

Ya ,definitely India is gonna win this world cup,I am sure.As you said this Indian team is a combination of both youth and experience.I think this is ine of the best Indian line-up that India can ever get.But the concern area is bowling. This is the place where we have to work more. Also this was clear in the first match also.Bowling will have its very impact in deciding the knock out matches. So we have to be very much clarified about this before the quarter finals.

ya quarterfinals are the knockout stage where one bad day can lift you out of the competition but if we play well there is no one stopping us but surely as you mentioned our bowling is something on which work is to be done but it is a big stage we have the potential to do wonders

Yes India is very strong in its batting Line and definitely have chances to win this world cup and repeats the feat, the main problem in India cricket team is in consistency in its bowling line up. The bowlers shows no consistency in series matches, this is the thing India is suffering and also Spin bowling is the only formula where India can be varied from other team in Asian grounds. Fielding can be improved further too. I wish the team all the very best for this worldcup

I do agree with the fact that this time India has a very strong chance to win the world cup. Everything is in its correct place. Everything is in favor of us(Indians).
We have the support of our crowd at the stadium. We have the pitches made suitable for us. We have appropriate players according to the pitches. Moreover our team is very well balanced, whether it is the combination of fast bowlers and spinners or it may be the combination of youngsters and experienced. All things are correct. All the players are in their form and are playing well. They way we opened this world cup was awesome.
However, I personally feel, South Africa could be a threat to us, also teams like Srilanka and Pakistan are serious considerations.
I truly wish, India should win this world cup.
