I have it and am not currently being treated for it. I will be going to the doctor this week to get a prescription for medication and wanted to know if anyone here has it and what are you doing to get it down. Any advice? What medication do you take and do you have any side effects from it? Any special recipes out there for this condition? I know you are not supposed to salt your food but there are foods out there loaded with it. Just want to try to avoid the wrong types of food if possible.

I used to have high blood pressure and took lots of medicines trying to control it, but with no luck. I had a growth on my adrenal gland and when they removed it my blood pressure whent to normal. A healthy, natural diet is best that means you gotta cook almost everything yourself to keep from eating so much salt! Prepared foods are like toxins!

Many foods and dietary factors affect blood pressure. Studies show a high-sodium diet increases blood pressure in some people. In fact, some studies that the less sodium you eat, the better pressure control you might have--even if you're taking blood pressure medications.
Fast foods are really having a dose of salt so try to prepare the food yourself that you might follow what is recommended of you.

I have and am being treated for HIGH Blood pressure! BUT under NO circumstances would I give you any advice, regarding yours! It is imperative...you are dealing with your heart, that you listen to the advice of your Doctor, and Specialist...as there are many, many reasons for High Blood Pressure, and the advice you get here may be totally contraindicated for your specific problem! I truly wish you good luck, with diagnosis and treatment...but I certainly will not contribute any quasi medical advice! I respect your fears, as I am living with them, but this is a life changing/challenging problem! Please take care...and Cheers!
