I've had a particularly bad 15 months for personal reasons but now EVERY night I dream and wake up remembering the dreams, they do sometimes wake me up and I can't go back to sleep straight away, I have looked several up and there meanings relate to my feeling etc anyway does anyone else have this happen?

I usually remember my dreams every night anyway. They're not always vivid or exciting, but I have had weeks go by where I was having vivid dreams. I usually credit it to whatever I was reading or what was on my mind at the time. I don't believe that dreams have any sort of symbolic, subconscious, or prophetic meaning. I've been dream journaling since I was twelve and have never had a dream that struck me as being any of those.
What was the content of the dreams? Why did they bother you so much? I really wouldn't worry about it too much.

Gotcha. Well then you've been through a huge emotional stress and it's no wonder your dreams are bothering you. I'd recommend writing your dreams down to get them out of your head. If that's just making you think about them more then it might help to throw yourself into a new hobby or task that helps you get rid of all that stress. And don't face it alone, talk to people in your family who were also connected to these people about your dreams and why they're bothering you. Maybe you're not the only one struggling with such vivid dreams.
