What franchise store has the worst coffee?

Many people like Starbucks but I don't. I don't like flavored coffee and the few times I've had Starbucks coffee it was too strong for my taste. Although here I will admit my exposure to Starbucks is limited. here was once a time when you could count on McDonald's coffee to be the same. Bad. Now that they've started with flavored coffees, their coffee is good, as long as they train their people how to serve coffee. I once had a young guy try to give me coffee without waiting for the full pot to dip through, which would make the coffee too strong. He acted like I had three heads when I tried to tell him what he was doing was wrong. To me now the (dis)honor of having the worst coffee goes to Burger King. I don't know if they overbrew it, keep the coffee around too long or what. But it also seems to carry over from store to store. Who's coffee do you hate?

Like you I am also really disappointed about the starbucks stuff. Its overly expensive in my old hometown which is a headquarter of banking offices so there are enough people there who are willing their really exorbitant prices.
I love McCafe from McDonalds, the coffees I tried there were very good so far. If you dont like strong coffee so you better not try the Vienna variation as this also was too strong for me.

I normally don't drink flavored coffees or iced coffee. Sometimes,I drink cold coffee at home. Why throw it out? (I usualy use the microwave to re-heat.) Last fall I drank a pumpkin flavored coffee that was a mistake from Dunkin Donuts. That was good.

I am not crazy about Starbucks coffee either--to me, it often tastes burned, and it is certainly too strong. Our McDonald's is making better coffee these days, but my fave still has to be Dunkin Donuts--I think their coffee is perfect--not too strong, not too weak, and the flavored syrups are good, too!

Dunkin Donuts has had many years to perfect their coffee although now its been years since I've dunked a donut. I agree their coffee is great.

I actually don't like Starbucks at all, in spite of the fact that most people do... every time I've had their coffee it tastes burned Our McDonald's used to have completely lousy coffee but they've changed something recently. It's actually quite good and I'd drink it over Starbucks any day. I like Tim Horton's coffee and it's very popular where I live (we have three of them in one small town LOL) and, even though I don't buy coffee often, my favorite is the mocha from the corner store near my house. It's just a convenience store, not even remotely a coffee place, but they're affordable, taste very good and they have a coffee card where you buy 4 and the 5th is always free (any size you want too). Good deal

Our local Starbucks closed but the average income here is low. I've heard of Tim Horton's but never seen one. What are they like?
I think the mantle of having the worst coffee now goes to Burger King. It seems like coffee is an after thought there. Plus the chain seems tired and lacks innovation.
An why do some places like Wendy's have such small coffee cups?

Sounds like you are getting shots of espresso - and that stuff is STRONG, but that's a lot of what those coffee drinks have in them at Starbucks.
Now, I like some flavored coffees, cinnamon, chocolate, peppermint, but I'm not thrilled with anything nut flavored so hazelnut or almonds leave me cold.
I really can't say I'm a coffee connoisseur, and despite there being a Burger King a few blocks from the house, I never go there.
I haven't tried any of Sonic's flavored coffees, but What-a-Burger has some okay regular stuff.
As I said, I also don't go to McDonald's and the Wendy's by my house is one of the few that ISN'T open for breakfast in the area!

Around Thanksgiving, I did drink a cinnamon flavored coffee from Dunkin Donuts that somebody I worked with got by mistake. That wasn't bad.

I like this topic! I don't like Starbucks either, I personally find their coffee gross... it doesn't taste smooth, it taste burnt or something... the only thing I would buy at Starbucks is some chocolate drinks in the summer.
We have Dunkin Donut here, but they don't have standards, some of them is good, some of them is bad and it depends on the time as well... Or some of the staff makes better coffe, some of them make crappy coffee... it's like hit or not when buying Dunkin Donut coffee sometimes, at least where I am works this way which appeals to me.
My favourite coffee shop is Pacific cooff, I don't think there is any in United States though. It is in Hong Kong where I come from. Their coffee is very good but also very pricy as expensive as Starbucks.

I probably drink too much coffee to buy pricey stuff. I sometimes buy coffee at gas station mini-markets. I used to go to an Exxon station where they had a card that they marked so that every 10th coffee was free. They used Green Mountain coffee their. Now I sometimes go to Turkey Hill which is also tied in with a dairy and ice cream. The advantage of Turkey Hill is that you get points that you can use for discounts on gas. Their coffee is also not so bad.

I am not a flavored coffee type person, because when I drink coffee I want it to be strictly coffee. I have to admit that from time to time I have tried some flavored ones from McDonalds and Starbucks and was quite pleased.
Not something I would do often but can actually say that from time to time it can actually be nice for me.

Starbucks is way to strong for my taste. I like Seattle Best or the Coffee Bean a lot. They both have a bit sweeter taste when I order my favorite drink, a mocha. Has anyone ever tried the iced coffee at the Seven 11? I did not care for that coffee at all.
