I was checking of photos of myfriend a whilein facebook and I was able to see a procedure in bleaching the teeth. My friend say that the procedure will took 3 hours stretching your mouth. My friend told me it was worth it because he has white teeth. However when I was checking his photos onward. I am not getting liked it. Because as I checked his smile. Its was like false teeth. No offense but what is the used/significance in bleaching our teeth? Would you go for this kind of procedure?

I wish there was a natural way of withening my teeth. I drink coffee and teas both of which have stained my teeth yellow. But really unless i gave up the two drinks i wonder if it would be of any use. Unless i repeated the procudure all the time. Hiowever bleach does not sound like anything i would want to do. Its actually sounds damaging.

My grandma told me about that one years ago. She said they didnt even have toothpaste. They aways used baking soda. But dentist came out with stories about it being too abrasive and damaging the enamial. My grandparents did have false teeth. Maybe if you mix some with toothpaste. I have some books that have all sorts of natural remidies, etc. I looked up about teeth withening before and it said to mash strawberries and brush your teeth with the paste, rinsing very well. That was also supposed to be enamial damaging. Ive also heard stories about tooth paste containing sugar and flormeldihide (stuff they embalm bodies with).

I think if you are a CELEBRITY IT IS A MUST but for us ordinary people, I think regular brushing and flossing can do the trick. But those who want to look like celebrity and has the money and who are beauty conscious, they can go for it. What I learn from a book, healthy teeth are those with yellowish white color not the super white one!

I think ultra white, ultra bright teeth look ridiculous. No one has teeth like that. It just looks so fake and I hate fake. Some people have off white teeth and some people have teeth with a yellowish tinge...it's natural. Those ultras make natural teeth look dull and dirty unfortunately. I would not have my teeth artificially bleached.

i wouldn't do it.a friend of mine did his,and afterwards his gums looked very red and inflamed.if your teeth were that yellow, you'd probably be better off getting veneers.

Are u jealous that his teeth is whiter than yours? lol =D Well, it's good to have white shiny teeth, but not too overly to the extend of being too white. It looks a little disgusting, and looks like plastic.. lol =D I have seen such sets of teeth before and i must say i dun like it too. However, there's a difference between teeth whitening and bleaching.. haha

your teeth are colored to begin with to match your features if they were to be real white thats what they would be. Not sure all this whitening stuff is really good on your teeth seems like it would at soem time make your teeth very soft and thn ya loose them

I would not use the procedure. If people don't like the color of my teeth, too bad. I don't want superficial friends.

hmm...i dont think this is a good idea...only natural procedures are enough for the teeth..well,i already heard that it cause some harm effect to the teeth..The enamel, the outer covering of teeth is essential for the health of a teeth and it protects it from degrading and germ attack...by the bleaching process ,it affects the enamel and get destroyed..so in my opinion better to dont go for this procedure..that s all.. Thanks for the discussion

No question that bleached teeth looks lot better because it bleaches away all the yellowness, but I don't think I would do that... because I just don't like going to the dentist and don't know what the dentist put in my mouth as I cannot see what the dentist is doing when I am lying down.

I never understood this either! I remember people telling me how much it hurts when the bleach accidentally falls on your gums. I would never do it. I don't really care about it.

I would totally do this procedure because I have really yellow teeth. I think it is simply a great way to get white teeth, which are not natural as you point out, but are desirable.

I've seen many people who has realy white teeth. As you I would like to know what are the chemical or substance they're using for bleaching teeth. I would not go through doing it. It looks fresh with white teeth. I hope every tooth in their mouth is whole and in one piece as well.

I think naturalness is the most important thing. Protect your teeth then you don't need extra operation or procedure.

It's okay to whiten your teeth, use the safe stuff, but bleaching can kill your teeth.

I don't think I would bother. It takes a lot of money and like you say, it would not look natural. If people got used to seeing you with teeth that weren't perfectly white and then all of a sudden you had perfectly white teeth, they would think you were fake. I think if it could be done over a long period of time and gradually, it might not be so bad, but I still don't think I would bother. I am getting old and don't bother about such things any more. I guess it is just a matter of time before I wind up with false teeth.
