I seldom go to church, but it doesn't mean that I'm not doing my obligation as a Christian. I am. But there are a couple of reasons why I don't want to attend mass. One of the reasons is because of the people inside it. I seldom saw people just chatting to each other. They're not listening to the sermon. Some of them are using the church for other matters.

I can't fault you for what you have said as I stopped going into a church for much the same reasons!!! I found it hard to worship God with ALL the hypocrites & distractions around me. So, I've chosen my own way of worshiping God every Sunday morning. I do my own Bible studies & I'm fortunate enough to have numerous preachers giving their sermons on television on Sunday morning. Yes, I'm getting more than one view of what I should believe & I go to the Bible to determine what it is that God says I should believe!!! Those who are chatting, not listening, & using the church for other reasons will have to face God for themselves. I feel it is my job to prepare myself for my OWN judgment day!!! I am only responsible for ONE person & that person is ME. If I learn to live my life as an honest, caring, loving Christian, maybe I will show others what it feels like to know the love of God!!!!

And I think you need to mind your own business!!! How dare you assume that just because I don't walk into a building called a church that I don't witness to others the rest of the week!!! I am COMPLETELY comfortable with the way I worship God & was in NO way asking for your permission!!! Come back in 40 years & tell me how you feel.

Wow, that was very mean of you to say that, I was just giving advice and telling you that maybe you should go back because if you are home like you said how can you talk to others. But Maybe you do talk to others. but that was not very nice for you to talk that way not very nice at all.
You can not talk to people if you haven't have such emotion against people that spoke bad things about you. (hypocrites) Allowing people to take your joy from you shows weakness. I dont know if you forgave them which I am guessing you didn't since you didn't say anything about taken action doing so. You Discontinue instead of continuing. Until you do you cant speak to those in the same situation being a witness or a Teacher or a pastor or a Preacher or Singer.
It will be like you are Witnessing with your underwear on. THATS why I said GO BACK TO YOUR CHURCH. NEVER DID I JUDGE YOUR Worship. Worshipping is on you not on everyone else. Worship God as you please. God cant give you his Gifts if you hold something against people in a Church. He will not Bless with a unforgiving heart.
Understanding and knowledge doesn't come by years but comes but by what you know, n time and experience. You don't have to go to church thats optional. IN the Bible it says we are the church. Base on what you said makes you very defensive which is sad.
Extremely Disrespectful. But, I forgive you.

Hey ladymarissa,
I think you shouldn't allow someone to make you feel uncomfortable I have too been in that same situation but I left things to god and let god deal with them. He wins his fights all the time I can lose mines at a random haha. I think you should go back to your local church. Let the hypocrites be hypocrites. You are to care and get ready for judgement Day like you said that's right but, God wants to use us all to bring more souls to him so other can too be ready for that day. You have to be an example being at home won't allow you to teach others who god is and what he sent his son to do for us. We all are Gods children and I consider myself Gods servant in the end it's his will be done not mines. I pray to God and ask him to use me give me favor, speak to me, teach me, give me knowledge, allow me to be a blessing and strength for those that don't have none.
Great that you read your bible and watch tv listen to more words of knowledge. And of spiritual growth I think y should go back to your former church. Praise God be you worship through good and bad times. Who can come against you if you have Jesus.

Hey gaaruto.
I love going to church I usually go 2-3 times a week but to me it's not about how many times you go it's about if you grab the message if you are part of the church. Some people go to church to talk to others and meet new people or get a date. Some go because they really want to change and listen what god has told the pastor to tel lthe church.
This Friday the church i go to will have us and many other churchs gather together in one bigger building and we all praise Jesus. :) I'm going to love it is a service for the youth but the message will be for the youth but for everyone at the same time haha. It will be hundreds there and I know it's going to be awesome like the last event .
Sometimes people in church can be very judgmental and the most judgmental people on the world. To me I let them talk and whipper and gossip. I let god fight my battles because he always wins in the end lol .
I had some situations where I felt uncomfortable or I felt like that was bot of god and at person should of never said that. Someone said something to me and that made me feel uncomfortable and when I went to church i wasn't myself and im sure others knew my mother knew and she saw me from a distance and said my son doesn't do that he really praise Jesus. God gave the pastor a meessage and it had the same situation that I was going through and I felt at eas and I was much better and open. Amazing how god works and he test us and send us through different situations and bless us in the end.

That's good I was always told that god works by faith without faith you can't move mountains nor a stone. Good that you have your faith I didn't say anything was wrong with you being upset I understand but, I think everyone should leave the things to god and not take matters in our own hands. When the person in my church said something to me that made me feel uncomfortable. I left it in gods hands but i didn't really want to go back to know I have to deal with that. I rather not say what the person said but, im sure you will understand.
lol
