Would you really keep anything at par or above money?

would you? cause I see and hear people saying stuff like a family is more important and that love is the only true thing in this world. I am not being cynical but I do think that people say it just for the sake of sounding philosophical. In the end its nothing but impracticality. Without money, how can your family enjoy life and be happy? Even if you have true love in life, I dont find many lovers just stagnant in their lives and not aiming for a better standard of living. Your thoughts please?

Money may be an important part of our lives but I don't think people are willing to throw away their family or their loved ones just for the sake of money.
Money doesn't have to be only source of happiness because when you're with the ones you loves the time is priceless. You don't have to cough a pocket full of cash just to have a few laughs. You don't have cough up some change just to kiss your boyfriend. Money isn't needed to have a good time or to be happy. Some of the best things in life for free such as love, friendship, and family.

I wholeheartedly agree.
Money doesn't equate to happiness. Money can compliment happiness. Money can even serve as a vehicle toward happiness. But in the end, when you're sitting at home alone and nothing is on TV, will that stack of cash you possess make you giggly instead?
Money can only make us as happy as the things we buy with it. I love my friends and family, and if the worse happens, they're got my back. We can [and once upon a time, have] do[ne] without.

Of course money is important, how can you raise a family w/o it?
Of course every parent would want to give their children the best things in life, how would you do it if you don't have the money?
But the point is some just sets their priorities. For me, my family is the most important thing in this world, Example: I am relatively earning well now and my employer ask me to leave the country and go somewhere else, I would really give it a deep thought, because my family is my priority. What is the point of earning more if I won't get to see them everyday?
So it doesnt really mean that when you say that family/love is more important, you dont give a damn for money too.
