I love spinach! Do you like using spinach as a base for a salad? I will often purchase salad instead of lettuce or romaine. When I make a spinach based salad I like to top it with mushrooms and feta or blue cheese crumbles and of course dressing. It's one of my favorite salads. So, do you make spinach based salads? If you do, what are your favorite toppings on this type of salad?

I like it too. My husband & son hate it though so I don't buy it very often. You might want to add walnuts & dried cranberries to the spinach salad too... very yummy!

Ooh that reminds me! I like almonds on my salad too. I'm not a fan of mixing fruit in my salads - so the cranberries would be out for me. That would be something my hubby would eat though!

I enjoy adding some spinach to my salads. I don't think I could eat just a spinach salad alone, but I like to mix it in with other salad greens. I think spinach salad is amazing withe either walnuts, or pecans, and some crumbled blue cheese, a little bacon and a raspberry vinagerett dressing. Mmm, Mmm, that sounds really good right now, but I have a bit of a tummy ache from eating too many Robin's Eggs.
