Is there a diffrence between powershot and cyber shot in cameras?

Hi folks, I have search this question a lot on net, but I hardly find any difference any satisfy answer. I got below answer: Powershot is Canon Name of their Point and Shoot, and Sony point and shoot called Cyber Shot, just name. what do all of you think?

I will say that my experience with the Canon Powershot line has been great. Most point and shoot compair themselves to the Canon Powershot.

They cannot use the same name due to copyright issue. Both are DSC or digital still camera. But of course both have its own speciality. it is up to us to determine which one we like.
