for 25 years EDSA I has always been commemorated. looking back to those times i can still fell the fervor of filipinos to fight fo their right as dignified humans. they refused to be under the power of the late dictator ferdinand marcos. they are fighting for a change that time. do you think we lived up to that chage they are fighting for today?

Actually we can see that we are still struggling to what the ideals of that event was. We are still are in poverty and the country is still struggling to make ends meet. Although in terms of freedom we have radically changed ourselves and we are more free to do what we want but there are times that these freedoms many enjoys are being taken advantage of some politicians trying to enjoy this in their own agendas.

It's been a long long 25 years ago that People Power (EDSA) has been a good memory for us, as a Filipino especialy if you are already in the teens age. I consider it 'closed book' because after that Feb 1986, nothing happened, I mean, the lives of the Filipino people is the same, the corruption is still there Forget Ferdinand Marcos and the current government should start a brand new less-corrupt government. Let start from the President up to the lowest ranking official of the government, the head should be an example for us, he should be an honest person, meaning he is not corrupt and if the head is not corrupt, of course he will be a disciplined man, he will disciplined all his subordinates. As they said, 'no poor people if there is no corrupt'. The dictator is gone and we should start living and feeling of new Philippines, stop the celebration of EDSA every year. If we have a good government (I mean no corrupt) then, we should celebrate again every February 25. For us, an ordinary people, we should obey laws or maybe a good citizen. Viva Philippines!!!!

I don't think we're living up to the expectation set by the EDSA revolt 25 years back. As what is being show by our leaders and the everyday people. I think the EDSA revolt was for nothing. I mean, yes we've overthrown a dictator, but what does that gave us, years of lawlessness and corruption. It's like we overthrew the dictator so we can make our own set of rules.

what is the edsa revolution anyway? it is just the time when filipinos lost their reason and listen to the bickerings of ambitious generals and cynical cardinals. surely they were exploited by those people who aspire for power and influence during the time that they could not secure both. and the people fell for it. where are the filipinos now?

Sad to say we don't quite feel the spirit of EDSA here in the province. Funny thing was when I asked a child to tell me what EDSA Revolution is he answered me, HOLIDAY...

Yes, I do. For one, the process of rehabilitating the roles of the soldiers was difficult. They had been berdugos in Marcos time. The new soldiers, like Senator Trillanes, had been confused, and consequently rebelled. But the situation seem to change in the people's favor now...
