An old Romanian proverb says that:job is the bracelet of gold.I still think. What would be nice if all people would do what they like, making them passionate. Would not be a world of performance, a vibrant and colorful world, or would be chaos? Sadly I have to admit that of all the people I know, few practice what she really passionate. You are satisfied with the job that you have chosen?

I have regretted my job choices over the years many times. I think being unsatisfied in a job is what has pushed me in the past to move on. Sometimes we just don't know how we will feel about a job until we are already committed to it.

I am happy with the job and the industry I have chosen, it has always been my passion and I'm happy about that.
For most of them, say 90% of people are not happy with the job, its not because of the kind of job they have chosen, it's because of the people they work along with. Say for example top performers always have issues in terms of incentive, salary raise, promotion etc, but in the same company you can see avg performers doing great, this can never be because of your job or your company this can be only because you peer manager who doesn't let anyone grow beyond his power...

* sender621 - I understand very well. Some time ago, worked hard for a company: I came first and leave last to the office to be a good employee, to be appreciated, but really, I was so tired and exhausted that I did not see anywhere any an appreciation, even if they existed. And so we were forced myself to change my job a few times.
* vasugi - is good that you are happy with your job, but what we do, when unfortunately, in our work we have things that you can not love it, the more you passionate, what do you have tasks that must follow to take out the negatives of something, and you are asked to create moments of others around you uncomfortable? plus .... After that evaluates your performance by how well you know how to punch in a table, and show others that they were wrong.
I look with interest to write something about how we deal with the overload of tasks, especially about how we say "no. "Thanks.

Hi didi, I understand how painful it can get when you are not rewarded for your hard work. I've had it too. But one has to be a sport to change the negative to positive. Remember no job is bad but you don't love it then u r not going to enjoy it.
This holds good for so many things in life, sometimes we might not get a partner who will understand but since we are bound to relationship we learn how to make things better my loving them, this is simply because we have no choice... its the same with work. I see 2 types of people around me 1) People who can survive without this job and they take this as fun and just do they their work without any efforts because all it means is money and to spend time 2) There are people for who the job really matters and they cannot help expect to take what ever they have.
I m not worried about 1st category people but my advise to the other crowd is that when you don't have an option then why work extra why put more efforts when you know you will not get anything in return... just come complete your work take you pay and live your day happy... and by the way I belong to the 2nd category but I changed myself because we cannot change the world expect for ourselves...

At times I like my job but most of the times I regret having applied at my recent job. Actually, I also regret what I took up in college. I am a nursing graduate. I felt like my college degree allows me to have a very limited work/job choices. I really wanted to be in the fashion/beauty industry. A job that have a relationship with the two will be absolute love for me. For now, I am trying to stay and love the job that I have. I just think of motivations so that I will be inspired to go to work everyday.

I noticed in your own professional development, that when things are happy and playful (but in a play "serious") or when I require an optimistic attitude, succeed every time to do the right thing and succeed in some optimal I say in what they do.On the other hand, they are overly stressed, you do not do things with pleasure, the results are not expected. On the contrary, everything seems to go against me, fail to see ideas and opportunities that are necessary to view, right in my face.So let's enjoy what we do every day, because this will bring the desired results! Thanks.

No, I'm not satisfied with the job that I have chosen and I regret. Of course it was a good place to work in at first until some new chap comes in and starts back-stabbing everyone and causes a lot of commotion in the office until you get the feeling that you just don't want to go into the office. For me, I just don't like to work in this kind of environment. I like to work in a place where everyone is like a family. What kind of job doesn't matter to me, so long as the environment is nice and peaceful.

Conflicts with coworkers are an important factor of stress and decreases the effectiveness of all involved. I do not think that has to regret, that you're not a family, the office must be a good colleague and that. No personal affinities, confidant, favors interpretation.I'll tell you from experience. I know it's very hard, because you do not have stability. As regards my relationships with colleagues, I became very diplomatic, rather than follow my interest. People at work, although even "ok", do not want only one thing, to be ahead of you.Thanks.

Yeah I love my job now. I have the problem of getting into a job and loving it for a couple of months, and then getting bored quite quickly. My last job I really liked for the first three months and then started to really dislike going there and before you knew it I quit. Now I think about where I'm working and how it should play out in the long term before I get started.

Hi Dear Didi! I am really lucky person that I am in a job which I enjoy a lot! My job is a passion for me. Right from my childhood I had a tendency to accept the challenges and to accomplish them successfully! I like doing the things in different way to get success! I never liked to sit on a chair and make the papers black and white! I am a nature lover and I love animals a lot! So taking all these factors inti consideration, I have joined the professional course of Veterinary Science and did my Post Graduation in Animal Genetics and breeding in flying colors!
Now having done specialization today I am a Senior Resident Veterinarian, serving for one of the reputed Stud farms in my country. Here I am looking after 350 Thoroughbreds. Basically we breed these horses and raise them till the age of two before we sell them for races. My job involves a lot many challenges and I am really like this profession just because of that. I play multiple roles on the farm, like I need to play the role Nutritionist, Gynaecologist, Physician, Surgeon, Pediatrician etc.I really enjoy doing all these jobs and i am really happy when I get results on the Racetrack when the horses from our farm, perform well there!
For that matter, we have created a record on National Race track by winning maximum number of races in one tear so far, just last year only! We have won two National Derby races within a span of last 6 years!
I love and adore my job and I am too passionate about it, as it gives me not only name, fame and wealth but it also provides me an immense satisfaction, which is a great thing for me! Thanks !

I had gone through a frustrating period once. That was when I was with the previous job. It was not the kind of job I liked and the people around were not cooperative at all. So, I finally decided to leave that. And, so fortunately, I now have a job, perfect and most enjoyable. I am enjoying every single day at my work place.

I have changed jobs several times because they were not satisfying. I would have changed my last job as well because it had too much overtime. Unfortunately by then I was too old to find a new one.
What I really regret was leaving my first job. It was boring but if I had handled it better it might have led to a better career. I do sometimes wonder what would have happened had I stayed and applied for promotion. I was a clerical assistant and having passed my exams I could have applied to be a clerk and then gone to uni at night time. I loved going to uni but it never got me a job.

I am not really satisfied, but it works (FOR NOW). It's definitely not something I want to do forever, that's for sure. It stresses me out, isn't very stable, and I disagree with a lot of upper management's decisions. I am not all that passionate about work, although I'm a hard worker and don't usually slack off. So... Yeah. I hope that one day I have a job in a field I'm passionate about (IE, law OR criminal justice) but today's not that day (obviously).

I have never regret a job that I have chosen because I look at each job as a stepping stone. I'm currently at a job for 8 years so I will probably stay here till I'm old and wrinkled. But I do regret not going for a position that would've probably leaded me into a world of finance and higher paychecks instead of the position now where has lower wages but better benefits.

Couple years ago, I applied for a job that I have to work from 11am to 9 pm as a public relations officer, what I had to do was try to sell party plans to the clients and be socilaiable with the clients all the time. I thought it was very tiring and demanding. The working hours was long, it wasn't even the matter, it was too late for me to get off work, I would rather going to work early at 8 or 9 and leave work early; and I realized that selling wasn't my thing... I didn't have a sweet mouth that I could convince people to join those plans... I resigned that job very soon.
