Oh my gosh my ears lol. My 6 year old daughter and 3 year old son are pretending they are in a rock band. My son has a recorder, drum, finger clicker noise makers and a little wooden toy that makes shaking sounds. My daughter has a xylophone and keyboard. My son keeps blowing on the recorder which makes a high pitch sound and my daughter cant stand it lol. So she says "you asked for it" and gets all loud banging on her keyboard. To bad they dont want to work together to play rock band together instead of both having to be solo acts hehe. Is this something your kids like to do? Do they like to pretend they are in a rock band. Do they dress up in costumes while they do this?

When I was a kid, me and my friends would pretend were in a band. I had an electric drum set and my friends had a guitar and keyboard. We played at my friend's house, but his mother got tired of us and our "racket" so she put us in the garage. lol.

HAHA so instead of playing rock band you were then playing a garage band. How old were you when you did this? I am assuming you were very young but maybe you were teenagers I dont know. If my kids have my musical talent they will never go anywhere with their musical ability lol. I cant carry a tune in a bucket.

LOL. I guess you're right, we were more of a garage band. I was around 7 at the time and we were horrible. I couldn't sing or play the drums. My friend on the keyboard was just banging on it.

That is cute, kids have big dreams and great imaginations than a grown adult. I remember when I was a kid used to play like a princess ...LOL...good old times....childhood is a really wonderful time full of joy and fun! Not all the kids have fun in their childhood, it depends on the family and situations. So I guess yours are really lucky to have you as Mother cause they are having a wonderful time with you. Take care.

I love them so much they make my life complete. Who knows where I would be without them. We always have a lot of fun together. Today I rented them movies from the library and books. When my daughter got home from school she saw them sitting on the table and ran to it and was so happy to see the movies and books I got her. She watched one movie ponyo and we read quite a few books.

Ah...brings back memories of when my kids were little and imagined all sorts of fun things to do. That was before all the Ipods, computers, video games and real guitars came along. My daughter loved to play dress up. My son had an amazing imagination. Once he put some belts into a bag and said they were snakes. Those were the days. Enjoy them while they last.

I love the imaginations kids have. My daughter loves to play dress up as well. After halloween I always buy the costumes when they get down to like $2. She has a whole bunch of them. Its so cute when both my kids get dressed up together and want to put on a play. When I was a kid I did that to but mostly I just played school and pretended I was the teacher.

That's cute, kids have more imaginations and great dreams. Childhood is one of the most enjoyed moments in life. It also depends on the family and situations, not all the kids are enjoying their childhood. So I guess yours are really having fun by having you as their mother. Keep your relationship with your kids well and give them undivided love. They will appreciate it. Take care.

It is truly sad when children grow up and look back at their childhood and hate it. I hope my kids never feel that way. I would be crushed for them to tell me someday that I did a bad job as a parent. Thanks for your nice words.

Hi, Both your kids are having so much fun at home playing those musical instruments. But for me, it is kinda too noisy. If you do have a spare room, let them play inside the room ,at least the sound of those musicals are not that obvious.Told them to set the volume low or else it might disturbing others. But to certain extent,at least they can play together and you can do your own thing. For my son, sometimes he will play by himself or even requesting me to play with him together. Since I only have one kid at home,so the only person can play with him is either me or his daddy.

I just had them stay one room away from me. It was still horribly loud but not deafinging so I could deal with it. They are a lot of fun. They love to be creative and play. My daughter is kind of the leader and my son just does whatever she wants to do or copies what she is doing then she will get mad lol.

My children don't so much like to pretend that the are a part of a rock band, but they do like to sing, a lot. I've got a karaoke machine here at the house and one of my daughter's favorite things to do is to get the microphone out and sing into it. I don't even have to have the sound system hooked up, she just likes the feel of the microphone in her hand, I think. My son doesn't have to be holding anything, but he really does like to sing all the time.

Thats great that your kids love singing so much. My daughter likes to sing a lot to. When I was young my parents bought us a kareoke machine as well. I was pretty much the only one who used it though my sister didnt have an interest in it. The funny thing is she goes to the bar all the time now and singe kareoke lol go figure.

How cute, but seems painful to the ears. I don't have kids but I remember doing things like that when I was a kid. We used to pretend we were action heroes and band members and such.,

OMGGG that sounds so absolutely cute :D I don't have kids but this was exactly what me and my sister did when we were little. I can remember we had a guitar and we played random noises in it and bang the table and stuffs. i think i was in love in music ever since i was a kid and maybe it's the same with your kids too.

All I remember my sister and I doing was fighting when we were little. We were only 14 months apart though. My poor mother must have been at her wits end with us. I couldnt have dealt with kids who were as bad as my sister and I were. Thats why I wanted my kids spaced apart more so they wouldnt fight so much being further apart in age. They still fight a lot but not as bad as I think they would if they were say a year apart instead of 3 years apart.

lol... my daughter is only 6 months but she keeps on bubbling as if she's singing.. maybe your kids preferred to be a solo rock artist. instead of composing a band.. and perhaps they don't have same taste in terms of music.. funny they wearing costumes huh...

HEHE you never know your 6 month old daughter may very well grow up to be a singer. Anything is possible. Shes probably just learning to make sounds and is enjoying it. I miss when my kids were little and babbled like that. I miss a lot from when they were little. I cherish those times with them. I'm off now to go play with them before dinner.
