Hi dear friends! I really don't have any stipulated time fixed for changing my tooth brush.I normally change my tooth bush the moment I feel that the bristles are loosing the shape. Some company brushes are good and they last longer while some they don't even last for few weeks also! On an average I think, I change my toothbrush once in every month and a half or six weeks! How about you? Do you have any fixed time to change your tooth brush or you change it as per the wear and tear? What is the average time you take before changng One? Please respond, Thanks !

Hi Dear Wiggles!Your answer seems ti be perfectly true to your Avatar ! I liked your Sense of Humour and I understand that you must be belonging to the clan which uses mouth Wash or mouth cleansers instead of tooth brushes to keep the oral hygiene! Thanks for responding!

Hehehehe.... Actually, I am against using mouth wash and mouth cleansers- "au' naturale" for me, no tooth paste even, just a tooth brush with plain baking soda for me :D. Plus, I drink a tonne of green tea(haven't had a cavity since I started drinking it), one day I drank me a good 10 cups of the stuff, woke up the next morning, and didn't even have the slightest bit of film on my teeth(no morning breath either). :D

Yeah, it takes awhile for your gums to toughen up a bit, when using baking soda :D. Green tea plain all the way(I've never even heard of adding milk before, some like sugar[if you get the good green tea{dragonwell, sencha, hojicha, etc}all the taste you need comes with the tea]). Steeped according to what kind of green tea it is: usually in water that reached the boiling point and allowed to cool down 3 minutes, steeped around 2 minutes. Try out dragonwell green tea for sure, it is definitely the most delicious I have ever tried :)

Hi. AKRao24. By three months, my toothbrush will start to wear completely out around the bristles. This is when I will change out my toothbrush to a new one. I don't keep my old toothbrush for so long. If the bristles start to wear out badly before three months, then yes, I will change it to a new fresher one.

Hi Dear Cream! I think many of us give consideration to the bristles of the tooth brush for changing it! Many a times the bristles get worn or loose the original shape even before it is three months and we tend to change the tooth brush! Now a days I have stated keeping stock of toothbrushes in my cupboard as I stay far away from the township so that I can change the brush when ever I feel like doing so! Thanks for responding!

I always intend to change it every 3 months. In reality I change it whenever I remember to buy a new one, so I could have the same toothbrush for two weeks or for five months. But if it's in bad shape I find it easier to remember, as I have sensitive gums as well.

Hi Dear Liliac! We make many proposals which in fact hardly work for us in day today basis! I too often think to change the brush after a fixed time, but it never worked for me!I really get serious to change the brush when I feel that -"It is enough Now" or other wise I hardly think about the changing! Thanks for responding!

Hey I change my toothbrush depending upon how worn out the bristles are. If it looks and works fine, then its good but every couple months they do get pretty worn out.

Hi Dear Meditated! Yes, we normally think to change the bush only if we feel that the bristles have worn out. We end to continue to use it so long it can support the purpose! I think average two months is the normal period I think most of us we change our tooth brush! Thanks!

I usually change my toothbrush every 3 months. But sometimes if the bristles are still okay I use them longer. I really don't like the feel of new bristles and it makes my gums bleed. But I dont wait for my toothbrush to look like as if it could be used to brush my rubber shoes!

Hi Dear Staria! First of all,now your Avatar 'Star' is really looking cute and twinkling brilliantly! I agree that new bristles are not very comfortable on the gums and it is better to use the old brush so long it can be effectively and efficiently used! Yes if we use the tooth brush to make it fit for using on the rubber shoes ...then we should be punished for the atrocities we are doing on the brush! Thanks for responding!

The correct time is every 3 months. The exception to that is if you are sick ditch it. If it looks funny ditch it. If it not cleaning right ditch it.

Hi Dear Soapies!First of all Welcome to Mylot! Yes, I agree with you a funny looking brush is no more good at cleaning the teeth and such brushes who are unfit for the job are to be ditched. I appreciate your view of ditching the brush if your sick! That is really a good thing to do so that we may not get back the infection from the brush which can at times may act as a spreading agent if not cleaned properly, which may happen when we are really sick! I am happy to know that you are managing your brush for three months! It shows that you are having a careful and gentle personality! Thanks for responding!
