Hi all!
I haven't been in mylot for probably almost a year or so.
How's mylot nowadays?
Recently I came to Singapore.
Wanting to start a career here.
I got several job offers already.
But, you can't start working till you get the Employment Pass approved.
And seriously its not an easy thing.
especially nowadays.
with the rules and regulations getting more and more difficult for foreigner, and the election coming...
So a company already apply for my EP, it got rejected!
Now another company working on it. I can only hope for the best since I cant do anything.
Well here I am just sharing my story. and hoping if anyone from mylot had some sort of experience, to give me more confidence, or knowledge or anything...

Try to apply for S Pass before EP. Because EP if I am not wrong is for professional level. Gradually to upgrade to EP later on.
The main factor that affect the rejection is mostly education level and the job position being given. Try again, there are people who got it after a few tries.
As for MyLot, it will pays you when it hit the minimun payout of $10 and always pay promptly. But I do not pin hope on MyLot for income because its labor intensive. I need to post to get paid.
I am more on writing articles, residual incomes. For a list of residual incomes, I have prepared a summarized page which can be found on my MyLot profile page with guides, tips, details and payment proof of various earning online sites like writing, linking, posting and how to earn with a blog.
Cheers and all the best with your job application in Singapore.

thanks.
and yeah, i never hope much from mylot.
its just fun to type and share what's on your mind when you're bored.
haha
about EP... really?
but i try the online test from MOM, see if I'm eligible for EP or SP. it said I'm eligible for both.
I thought the difference between EP and SP just the minimum salary...

Hi Julise,
Just to add, wondering what is your highest qualification?
If you are a degree holder, then you should be eligible for
Employment Pass status,or else for diploma holder, you can try to
apply for work permit.
Let' s have a talk with the company that employed you to work
out on this matter.

Dipolma status, you should go for S Pass, Work permit is for construction worker, general worker, cleaner and other blue collar workers.
Try S Pass first before giving up. You should be able to get it, given that your eligibility.
There a few types of pass issued by MOM, there are the EP and the Entry Pass. For entry pass, it is also based on salary and position held. If you are given a position managing director and above, it should be a EntrePass.
I learned alot from MyLot, especially money making opportunities.
Hope you all the best and cheers.

Hi,
Wish you good luck in your new job and hope your
employment pass will get approve soon,so that
you can start work in the new company.
I was in Singapore previously, for my study and also
work there a few years. It is not easy to get a job
although there are plenty of jobs available, but to
get a good job and the one that we like really not an easy task.
Although there are plenty of employment agencies
in Singapore, but they do not entertain those foreigners. They only
cater for singaporean and Permanent Resident status.
I was lucky to get a job at one of local company and
not long afterward I got my Permanent Resident status.
But now, I have cancelled off Permanent resident status and back to
my husband's hometown in Malaysia.
But since you have few jobs offered,i believe one of them sure will
get an approval for your employment pass. Not to worry so much.
Takecare !!

Thanks!
My degree is Bachelor degree.
4years and 2 months working experience.
2years and 3months related working experience with the current job offered in Singapore.
I got 3 offers so far.
But I heard if there's multiple application for EP, it'll be automatic rejected for all the applications...
