Fair-weather friends

A friend in need is a friend indeed. I have to say I haven't got a bunch of friends of that kind. Sometiems when you pour your heart to them and treat them in a friendly, they think little of that and just get what you offer. They are fair-weather friends, but we meet each other and in some way, they are an inseparable part of your life. Do you have friends of that kind? What do you think a true friend should be like?

Fair weather friends seem to climb out of the woodwork. they are everywhere. I don't consider them to be a true friend. A fair weather friend only seems to be there for you when there is something in it for them. You can do and do for a friend like this no matter what the sacrifice is to you. When the tables are turned and you need their help and support, all you can expect are empty excuses instead.
